Lovely breakaway - the pace of Hal Robson Kanu was outstanding.

David Ospina should have been more alive to that threat in my opinion.

Great break there though - that is a threat West Brom do have.

So nearly 3-1! Hal Robson-Kanu's run is perfect but his chipped shot from an angle is saved by Ospina. Nacer Chadli follows up, but his effort is blocked by a defender near the line before Chris Brunt fires over from range.

There's been no impact on the game today from Theo Walcott. Might be something to do with the fact James McClean has worked hard to neutralise him all match.

So nearly 2-2. The corner is swung in and met by Danny Welbeck, whose header slams flush against the bar.

Arsene Wenger identifies the need for change. Off goes Theo Walcott, who has done almost nothing, and on comes Olivier Giroud. This taking place as Arsenal wait to take a corner...

I think Wenger needs to make a decision now about who he brings on.

They need a spark. They haven't had one on the ball all game.

Welbeck has been working hard but just hasn't been able to get into the game.

My mistake, it wasn't Robson-Kanu's first touch. It was his second. 50% less efficient than I thought.

    West Brom 2-1 Arsenal

Arsenal look to respond quickly again but Shkodran Mustafi's cross lands on the roof of the net.

Just seen replays of the goal. James McClean wasn't offside from the first chipped ball and there was no foul on Hector Bellerin in the middle of the box. Perfectly good goal. Not from an Arsenal point of view, obviously.

A good decision from the referee Neil Swarbrick.

It was very, very, very tight - he was maybe just offside but certainly not interfering.

Robson-Kanu scores with first touchpublished at 55 mins

    West Brom 2-1 Arsenal

What an impact! Hal Robson-Kanu's first touch is to tap the ball into the net - a goal that had been abandoned by David Ospina. The Gunners' sub keeper comes out to try and slide the ball away after a chipped ball into the box but succeeds only in finding Robson-Kanu, who slides the ball under him and home.

The Arsenal players are protesting (for a foul? offside against a Baggies player, who allowed the ball to roll between his legs and in?) but after a brief chat with his assistant Neil Swarbrick gives it.

Rondon's misplaced header is his last act. Off he goes to be replaced by serial substitute Hal Robson-Kanu. Rondon heads straight down the tunnel. Doesn't look happy.

Arsenal win another corner. This time Xhaka swings the ball in but it is headed away initially at the near post before an offside flag ends any hope of a follow-up attack.

We spoke about Brunt in the first half - he gives everything the strikers want from a delivery.

Big chance there for West Brom.

  15. CLOSE!published at 51 mins

    West Brom 1-1 Arsenal

Great cross! Shame about the header. Chris Brunt gets the ball out of his feet on the left before swinging in a pinpoint cross from Salomon Rondon. The striker rises above his marker to meet it but glances his header wide.

Arsenal win a corner. They take it short and feed the ball to Sanchez but his cross is headed away by a home head.

    West Brom 1-1 Arsenal

Arsenal start on the front foot but a rare lack of control from Alexis Sanchez in the box sees the ball find a West Brom defender, who clears.

A good watch so far. It has been very open and very attacking.

West Brom have been able to get back into shape easily after each attacking threat from Arsenal and we've had two good goals from each side.

By and large, the Arsenal bench doesn't have someone who will bring any technical change - perhaps one or two goals could come from Olivier Giroud if he were to come on to replace Sanchez.
