    West Brom 1-1 Arsenal

West Brom score from corners, Arsenal score through Alexis Sanchez. It is an immediate response from the Gunners. West Brom completely switch off at the back, giving Sanchez all the time and space in the world to collect a floated pass from Granit Xhaka, control, cut inside and fire into the roof of the net.

Once again, where was the marking?

Dawson heads homepublished at 12 mins

    West Brom 1-0 Arsenal

It's that familiar old route to goal for West Brom. Another headed strike. Craig Dawson rises highest to glance the ball in to the far side of the net from a Nacer Chadli corner. This after James McClean's shot had been beaten away by Petr Cech.

It is clinical from the Baggies but terrible from an Arsenal perspective. Where was the marking?

West Brom look very well organised and ready for this pressure from the Arsenal side.

That's what Tony Pulis brings to this side.

You can see West Brom are sitting so deep, that when Arsenal do get into the final third, Walcott needs to be that much more clever with his feet.

Chance for Arsenal. Theo Walcott is denied a tap-in at the near post by a West Brom defender.

Half chance at the other end for James McClean who gets his head on a deep cross from Craig Dawson but can't generate enough power to threaten. Petr Cech gathers.

Sheer perseverance. Allan Nyom has drove and drove, he’s gone past three Arsenal players and it’s a great ball in, it’s inviting people in as it goes straight across the six-yard line. If you want to score goals you need to get on the end of them.

He did so well to intercept the pass that was initially meant for Theo Walcott. But he skipped by a couple of players with pace, power and composure.

If he had looked up a little earlier, it would have been a great opportunity to pick out one of his team mates.

What a run! Nyom picks up the ball in his own half and darts away down the left. He beats one man, two, three but after getting into the box he fails to properly look up and drives his low cross way too far in front of Salomon Rondon.

    West Brom 0-0 Arsenal

Arsenal start with a period of possession on halfway but as the ball goes anywhere near the box, towards Danny Welbeck, the Baggies defenders spring into action to crowd out.

'NO CONTRACT #WENGEROUT'. That is the message being trawled along by a plane above the Hawthorns. Is the situation really so bad that you need to go to the trouble of getting your hands on a plane and printing out a big banner?

Meanwhile, down on the pitch, the game is under way.

We are still waiting for Theo Walcott to kick on and he’s 27. You think if he can play down the middle or out wide and he’s 27.

I think Arsene Wenger has to take some responsibility, but Theo Walcott also has to himself. He is extremely unlucky as he still shows he’s got the pace and has a goal in him to trouble teams.

I remember he got that hat-trick coming in off the right-flank under Fabio Capello in Zagreb, so it’s a bold call by Gareth Southgate to leave him out of the England squad.

Mesut Ozil has been very inconsistent throughout his whole Arsenal career to be honest.

He has wonderful spells and is a match winner at times - but never across the full 90 minutes.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain brings more energy to the side than Ozil.

As for West Brom, similar situation with Claudio Yacob not playing and Chris Brunt coming in. Brunt will bring a much better quality on the ball than Yacob and this side are getting better and better under Tony Pulis.

    Mark Lawrenson

The Baggies are yet to beat a top-seven team this season but I am expecting a response from them on Saturday after their recent displays.

Arsenal have a mixed record at The Hawthorns with only one win in their past three league visits, and I don't see them leaving with three points this time either.

So Lawro is going for a 1-1 draw, but what do you reckon? Have a crack at predicting the weekend's Premier League scores here.

West Brom's only win in the last 13 competitive meetings with Arsenal came at The Hawthorns last season. They could earn consecutive top-flight home victories against the Gunners for the first time since a run of six in a row from 1951 to 1956.

Arsenal have scored in 22 consecutive league matches against West Brom, winning 15 of them, since a 0-0 away draw in November 1985.
