"Sombre, nervy mood and the sound of dark mutterings at Molineux.

"Rotherham, the team with just one away point this season, have already gone close twice, home keeper Cari Ikeme twice having had to save in one-on-one situations, each time from Danny Ward, when he had been sent clear."

    Wigan Athletic 0-0 Bristol City

Stalemate so far between Wigan and Bristol City, although the game has been more exciting than the scoreline suggests.

Both teams have had a go at each other, in footballing terms.

Omar Bogle has had a couple of half-chances for Wigan, but Frank Fielding has been equal to them.

David Cotterill, once a Wigan player, has been lively for the visitors.

    Newcastle 0-1 Fulham

It's the type of goal for Fulham that Tom Cairney has made his trademark... walloped from the edge of the box a stranded Karl Darlow.

Foot like a traction engine, as Alan Partridge famously said. Fulham lead at St James'. Cairney's grandad was from Alnwick and a Newcastle fan by the way.

Norwich's Ivo Pinto has limped off temporarily so it might well see Steven Whittaker come on.

Jonny Howson's 30-yard shot the best chance they've had, while Blackburn's Liam Feeney had a chance when he had a half-chance from a Elliot Bennett cross.

Both sides have had chances, nothing too troubling though for the goalkeepers so far.

Tom Cairney, in smart form for Fulham, just fizzed one over the top.

Meanwhile, Newcastle are putting plenty of balls into the box but Dwight Gayle hasn't connected with one yet.
