Meanwhile third-placed Scunthorpe have made a fine start at Gillingham and lead thanks to Paddy Madden's 9th goal of the season.

Stalemate so far between Wigan and Bristol City, although the game has been more exciting than the scoreline suggests.

Norwich City 0-0 Blackburn Rovers

Norwich's Ivo Pinto has limped off temporarily so it might well see Steven Whittaker come on.

Jonny Howson's 30-yard shot the best chance they've had, while Blackburn's Liam Feeney had a chance when he had a half-chance from a Elliot Bennett cross.

Both sides have had chances, nothing too troubling though for the goalkeepers so far.

Tom Cairney, in smart form for Fulham, just fizzed one over the top.

Meanwhile, Newcastle are putting plenty of balls into the box but Dwight Gayle hasn't connected with one yet.
