    FT: Leeds 2-0 Brighton

Leeds goalscorer Chris Wood tells Sky Sports: "It was a game of minimal chances but Rob Green and the back line have been phenomenal. The management staff have been brilliant with me and that's why it's going so well."

Leeds captain Liam Bridcutt: "When we're not playing as well as we have, Chris has been brilliant. We dug in, fought for each other and came away with the win. We've set our standards high and we go into every game knowing we can win."

Leeds are up to fourth with that win and eight points behind Brighton.

  10. Warne embarrassed by Rotherham defeatpublished at 19:13 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2017

    FT: QPR 5-1 Rotherham

Interim Rotherham boss Paul Warne was embarrassed by his side's second-half capitulation as a 5-1 defeat at QPR left them all but relegated.

The Millers are now 24 points adrift of safety - the exact number left to play for - but a goal difference of -54 has realstically sealed their fate.

"My overriding emotion is of embarrassment," Warne said. "I'm clapping our fans at the end and most of them were pretty courteous to me. If they were throwing stuff at me I'd understand why.

"I honestly believe we were the better side in the first half apart from the fact we gave away two howling goals. The second was an absolute calamity.

"To then concede two, it's game over, and you can tell our lads are used to losing. I'm not saying they threw the towel in, because that's not what they did, but you could tell they just wanted the game to end after 65 minutes."

Warnock said: "If you had told me we would have had 51 points with eight games to go, I would have snapped your hand off.

"We were winning battles in every department, and the fans got behind us to create a brilliant atmosphere. We created a lot more today and I really enjoyed it."

It's been a quiet game by Sam Baldock's recent standards.

  19. Irvine upbeat about Norwich play-off bidpublished at 18:57 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2017

    FT: Norwich City 2-0 Barnsley

Norwich caretaker manager Alan Irvine says his side can still challenge for the play-offs after the the 2-0 win over Barnsley put them within five points of the play-offs.

"I was asked to take charge for two games and I have done that," said Irvine, who has ruled himself out of the full-time role.

"If that is to be my last game in charge it was a good way to finish - and the win certainly makes it interesting as far as the play-offs are concerned.

"Any side who puts a run together now can quickly climb the table, whether it's at the top or the bottom, and I think this group of players has got the ability to do just that."
