    Leeds 0-0 Brighton

An absolutely unbelievable save from Robert Green to keep Leeds level.

Beram Kayal's low cross is diverted towards his own goal by defender Liam Cooper, and Green produces an instinctive one-handed stop to preserve his blank sheet.

If there's been a better save all season, I'd like to see it. Incredible.

    Better from Leeds.

There's much more purpose down the hosts' right and Pablo Hernandez whips in a teasing cross which Uwe Hunemeier heads behind for a corner.

Chris Wood gets on the end of the set-piece but, unmarked and 10 yards out, he doesn't connect properly and the chance goes.

    Leeds 0-0 Brighton

Some neat footwork from Pablo Hernandez earns Leeds a free-kick in a crossing position on the edge of the box, which the Spaniard takes himself and sidefoots tamely into the wall.

    Sums things up nicely, that.

Although neither side have particularly looked a massive threat, it's been Leeds who have had the majority of the play.

  5. Mowbray sees positives after devastating drawpublished at 17:55 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2017

FT: Blackburn Rovers 2-2 Preston North End

Blackburn Rovers boss Tony Mowbray said his side must stay positive despite conceding so late on in the 2-2 against Preston North End.

He said: "The team is pretty devastated in there but we have to take it on the chin, look at the positives but realise on the way we have to manage games better and see games out.

"While we're frustrated, while we're disappointed, I think it was an amazing effort from everybody to get ourselves in a winning position - the supporters as well as the players. And yet, I feel as if we let the fans down today because they were so behind the team.

"But I've told the players not to be too hard on themselves because it was a fantastic effort to get back in front against a very dogged, determined, hardworking football team at the top end of the table."

    Leeds 0-0 Brighton

    Oh my goodness. A chance.

Leeds whip a set-piece into the box but big defender Kyle Bartley can't direct his header on target from 10 yards.

The ball is in the Brighton net but the flag had long gone up with Chris Wood offside.

  8. Away point felt like win - Graysonpublished at 17:49 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2017

FT: Blackburn Rovers 2-2 Preston North End

Preston North End manager Simon Grayson said the thrilling 2-2 draw against struggling Blackburn felt like a win after seeing his side score so late on.

"Blackburn will feel unfortunate they conceded in the last minute. We'll feel like it's a victory, but that's football," Grayson said.

"You can never question the character and spirit within the dressing room because they keep going to the very end.

"I think the only opportunity we missed was when we got the first goal, we couldn't capitalise to get the second to win the game."

    Leeds 0-0 Brighton

The phrase "this game needs a goal" describes this one perfectly. They're two sides content with their lot for the moment, keen not to take any undue risks.

Leeds fashioned a nice counter attack, but Chris Wood couldn't take the ball in his stride 35 yards out and lost possession.

That's about as good as it has got.

  10. Postpublished at 13 mins

    Leeds 0-0 Brighton

It's a tough watch at the moment.

Neither side is willing to give much away, which is understandable given their respective positions in the table and results elsewhere in the Championship this weekend.

"Leeds have done 40 passes and they've gone forward 10 yards. For me, it's good organisation from Brighton."

Potentially an exaggeration from Warren, there...

    Leeds 0-0 Brighton

Barring one cross into the Leeds box which goalkeeper Robert Green gathered comfortably at his near post, there's been very little in the way of an attacking threat from either team.

If you're a neutral and you love watching defenders passing across their own back line, this first eight minutes has been for you.

    Leeds 0-0 Brighton

No chances to speak of in the opening couple of minutes.

It will be interesting to see how a Brighton defence without injured pair Bruno and Shane Duffy will cope with Leeds striker Chris Wood, who is the leading scorer in the Championship this season with 22 goals.

The game is under way at Elland Road, where conditions look perfect.

Leeds are in their familiar all-white kit, while Brighton are in black and luminous yellow.

  16. Rowett enjoys 'fantastic' derby drawpublished at 17:30 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2017

FT: Nottingham Forest 2-2 Derby County

New Derby County manager Gary Rowett said he enjoyed a topsy-turvy 2-2 derby draw with Nottingham Forest despite seeing his side concede an injury-time equaliser.

"It was a fantastic game to be back and be part of. I was looking forward to seeing what we learned, looking forward to seeing some of the things they would do well and things they would do not so well," Rowett said.

"At half time we just spoke about relaxing a little bit. The longer it was 1-0 the more pressure we could put on and more edgy they would get.

"To get the goal so early in the second half, at that point we were in complete control and really dominant and moved the ball fantastically well.

"The disappointing thing from there, having been in control, was that we have to see things out."

    Leeds v Brighton (17:30 GMT)

Leeds make three changes to the side held by QPR in their last outing. Kemar Roofe, Pontus Jansson and Luke Ayling make way for Hadi Sacko, Charlie Taylor and Liam Cooper.

Brighton make just one alteration from their win over Derby. Captain Bruno has a groin injury so Fikayo Tomori comes in at full-back and Lewis Dunk takes over the armband.

Leeds: Green, Berardi, Bartley, Cooper, Taylor, Bridcutt, Vieira, Sacko, Hernandez, Pedraza, Wood.

Brighton: Stockdale, Tomori, Dunk, Hunemeier, Rosenior, Knockaert, Stephens, Kayal, Skalak, Murray, Baldock.

Leeds United are unbeaten in six Championship matches but draws in their past two outings against Fulham and QPR have halted their push towards the top two.

The gap between themselves and Brighton is 11 points, so it's almost win or bust for Leeds' automatic promotion hopes today.

  19. Forest character delights Warburtonpublished at 17:20 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2017

FT: Nottingham Forest 2-2 Derby County

    Forest goalImage source, Rex Features

Nottingham Forest manager Mark Warburton was impressed by his side's comeback as they snatched a point against fierce local rivals Derby County thanks to a 94th-minute goal by Daniel Pinillos.

"The most pleasing thing was the character the players showed to get control of the game again," Warburton said.

"It would have been very upsetting not to to take something. After a really pleasing first half, it was frustrating to find yourself 2-1 down. But they showed great character and that got the late reward. We deserved the point.

"We have been with the players for three days. You don't want to change too much at short notice, but you ask them to get on ball, to be brave and pass the football. In the first half, they showed they can do that. We challenged them, they dealt with it and that is very pleasing."

  20. Is it finally Brighton's year?published at 17:18 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2017

    Leeds v Brighton (17:30 GMT)

Win today at Leeds, and it just might be.

It's 34 years since Brighton played in English football's top flight, but that dream is edging closer to becoming reality.

Brighton's closest challengers Huddersfield were thumped by Bristol City yesterday, so a victory for the Seagulls at Elland Road will create a nine-point gap between themselves and third place.

And Newcastle's draw at Birmingham today means Chris Hughton's men will go top if they win.
