It's been a turbulent 24 hours for David Moyes.

After video footage emerged of him telling a female reporter she "might get a slap", pressure was put upon Sunderland to take action.

Just over a month ago these clubs were both in the relegation zone with only two league places separating them.

It seems incredible, but if Craig Shakespeare's side win this game - and other results go their way - Leicester could be 11 places ahead of Sunderland by Wednesday night.

Shakespeare has been  like a defibrillator for Leicester. The Foxes' heartbeat is pumping again with five wins in a row in all competitions.

Sunderland - without as much as a goal in their last five games - can only dream of such a jolt, their pulse still stubbornly flatlining at the foot of the table.

Sunderland and Burnley will both be looking to collect three points tonight in their battle for Premier League survival

Manchester United versus Everton is the only match involving teams at the top end of the table, with Premier League survival very much on the minds of a couple of managers in the dugouts tonight. Here's the full list of Tuesday night football:

Most United fans agree Jose Mourinho has been a significant upgrade on Louis van Gaal but the stats suggest they're being seriously short changed at Old Trafford.

Saturday's stalemate with West Brom was their eighth home draw in the Premier League.

The return of top scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic from suspension is a welcome boost but other star names need to contribute more regularly if United are to successfully hunt down the top four.

I think they're catching Everton at a good time. Recent injuries have highlighted the visitors' lack of depth, meaning too many youngsters are having to play pivotal roles.

Keeping Romelu Lukaku quiet normally blunts the Blues and Mourinho  should know how to do, external  that better than most.

Man Utd v Everton (20:00 BST)

All right. I accept, it's not wholly fair to compare the seasons just by looking at the table - context is key, but Manchester United fans could perhaps be forgiven for expecting a bit better this season.

Jose Mourinho's side are on a 19-game unbeaten run in the Premier League, but a lot of that has been made up of draws.

With six games in a touch over three weeks, starting with tonight's clash with Everton, April is undoubtedly a key month in determining whether Mourinho's first season at Manchester United can be deemed a successful one.

  14. Spot the differencepublished at 18:29 British Summer Time 4 April 2017

Take a look at this table:

And now have a gander at this one:

Spot anything different? Arsenal are faring better in the second one, while Liverpool are eight points better off in the first one.

But it's not the differences I am looking at. Manchester United in both tables have exactly 53 points after 28 games.

The first table, where they are fifth, is this season - their first under Jose Mourinho. The second table, where they are fourth, is their first season under Louis van Gaal.

The more things change, the more they stay the same?
