Good battling from the newcomer Lys Mousset, clunking through a number of Chelsea shoulders and still managing to have enough balance to hand off to Josh King, or at least almost. The pass to his fellow striker waiting on the edge is just cut out.

It's all about next season for Bournemouth. You would imagine they're already safe, seven points clear of the drop zone with seven to play after today.

Lys Mousset, a 20-year-old French forward, is coming on for Benik Afobe.

I'm trying to think of novel ways to re-invest a bit of excitement about this Premier League title race, but mostly can't.

Chelsea are seven points clear again.

Pedro can't control himself and smashes into Harry Arter with a late challenge. No question that was a yellow.

deldude: Marcos Alonso said two words to Arthur Boruc Don't move. Wonderful free kick timed to perfection.

Jamie Watson:  The Bournemouth wall has to jump there. Forget trying to be clever stopping the low one.

JavelBleach: The 5 players to the right of #Bournemouth, external 's wall were utterly superfluous! 1-3. Meanwhile in Sheffield.

It should be four. Marcos Alonso is picked out at the back stick, a lovely dinked pass from Eden Hazard I think.

But the header is wild - was it just a touch too high, the cross? - and it travels well over.

There's still 20 minutes to play and Victor Moses wants in on the action, driving towards goal and winning a corner. Bournemouth are reeling now.

But Simon Francis rouses himself to clear under real danger at the back stick - two huge Chelsea bodies heaving towards a fourth.

That's a touch of class from Alonso. The goalkeeper didn't even move and it's an unbelievable strike in the top corner. He's hit it perfectly.

Fantastic goal. Lifted over the wall and into the top corner by Marcos Alonso. Just effortless, the way he strokes through it, always curling away, but never too much.

Artur Boruc and Bournemouth rooted to the spot. Chelsea are surely out of reach now.

I've just realised Marcos Alonso used to play for Bolton (I also know he's not Italian but Spanish, honest). He's turned into some player.

Free-kick Chelsea as Diego Costa is taken out by Steve Cook on the edge. Could it be Alonso territory? It's good for a leftie.

Jack Wilshere wants to nip in behind the lines but Nemanja Matic's impeccable swipe steals the ball from under his feet.

Down the other end, Harry Arter does the same to Pedro. It's Bournemouth who look to be growing at the moment, but the margins are fine.

Just over half an hour to play then. Which way will this go? For a long spell in the first half we thought Chelsea were already out of sight. Will Bournemouth find a way back in?

Gary Cahill provides a clue in spraying a terrible long ball out of play.

...It's secret option number three - played short and clipped over the wall - but Joshua King running in is offside. Clever, but not quite there.

N'Golo Kante penalised and in the book he goes. Free-kick Bournemouth now. Charlie Daniels can hit them, Harry Arter too...

Pinball in the box - Marcos Alonso's cross in is fantastic, so hard to deal with, and nobody does.

Diego Costa takes another massive swipe at it - only finding thin air again - but it's almost another own goal as Steve Cook, just standing there innocently, finds himself almost inadvertently cannoning past his keeper off the shin.

Great improvisation from Eden Hazard - zipping in a cross for Diego Costa on the volley after his first effort was blocked. Really acrobatic.

But the ball had way too much on it and I reckon Costa was well marked anyway.

Jack Wilshere's looked good today, but this spray out towards Benik Afobe is too long for the striker to latch on to. Much better from Bournemouth now though, much more positive.

Jay from Hampshire: As a Spurs fan, I would love to see us catch Chelsea and win the league as a send of for White Hart Lane, but it's always going to be a tall order, and they possibly have a marginally easier run in so I think it's unlikely to happen.

Ryan Fraser zips one just inches wide of the post from outside the box, I don't think Thibaut Courtois was getting there you know.

Marcos Alonso powers into a challenge with Adam Smith, comes off the better and the ball follows on the bounce, the Spaniard can drive towards goal now and pick out a man in the middle, but the cross is poor - easy for Artur Boruc to claim.
