  1. CHANCE!published at 65 mins

    Tottenham 4-0 Watford

Beautiful flick from Stefano Okaka on towards the racing Isaac Success, who is breezing clear on the Spurs right. You wouldn't know his team is 4-0 down...

And Success just fires wide of the post as he's slightly crowded out by the recovering Mousa Demeble. A half-chance for a Hornets consolation.

Craig Smith: If I were Chelsa I'd be worried. Have to win 6/8 as Spurs likely to have better GD and don't look like losing again

Dan D: Son is looking good for another player of the month award. 4 goals & 2 assists already and we're only a week in.

Olorunda Titus: This Spurs side are really good at what they do. Pochettino has done a good job on them.

    Tottenham 4-0 Watford

Here he is, big cheer for Mr Harry Kane. Vincent Janssen trundles off. Another game without a goal for him - and he missed a sitter. What's his future?

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 60 mins

    Tottenham 4-0 Watford

Abdoulaye Doucoure is off and Juan Zuniga comes on. A wing-back on for a midfield enforcer, who hasn't had much opportunity to enforce.

That's Watford's first change. Not that it will change much.

A colleague I was speaking to on Thursday - who shall remain nameless but she is a Spurs fan - was saying how she didn't rate Son-Heung-min. Something about his technique not being up to snuff I think it went?

    Ahem.

Well it's just brilliant from Spurs. What a player Son Heung-min is. Everything he's done today has been absolutely brilliant.

He hits it on the half volley and that is a really difficult skill to keep it down. His second of the day. Brilliant from Son.

It's so difficult to explain how hard that ball is to hit. To make that connection when it's so high and to hit it cleanly into the bottom corner is top drawer.

Son's second, Spurs' fourthpublished at 13:42 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

Kieran Trippier's cross to the back stick is golden, just crying out for someone to run in and smash it home.

Son Heung-min is only too happy to oblige, a gloriously controlled half-volley diverted home. Spurs were already in the ascendancy, so where are they now?

    Out of sight.

    Unlucky!

Jan Vertonghen steaming forward on goal like a runaway 50-1 shot in the Grand National... But he just runs out of juice at the final hurdle.

Tottenham had broken so quickly from a Watford corner - it all started from Christian Eriksen's clever flick to evade his man.

Ah - there's Claudio Ranieri in the White Hart Lane stands, enjoying his enforced exile from the cut and thrust. Where will we see him next?

Kieran Trippier is down receiving treatment, Kyle Walker is sent out to stretch, but it looks like Trippier is fine to carry on.

Spurs are queuing up now for a shot on goal. Watford are playing for pride here and need to put a bit more in the second half.

Can Janssen get on the score sheet for Spurs? Will Kane have a little cameo or will Pochettino save him? I would think he'd get at least 20 minutes today. He's on the bench and ready to play.

  15. CLOSE!published at 47 mins

    Tottenham 3-0 Watford

I've heard it said there's not a more underrated player than Mousa Dembele. I tell you what - he is good. Gliding past two Watford shirts as if they're not there, firing a low shot that is deflected just wide of Heurelho Gomes' stick. He was scrambling, the Brazilian.

Jack Hanson:  Has a Premier League team scored three goals from outside the box in a match before?

Kush in London: We are normally very good at over hyping young English players, but wherever I look, I just hear about how Kylian Mbappé is the next big thing. We genuinely have one of the best young players in the world in Dele Alli, so let's show him even more love and mention him in the same breath as other young European talents.

Dan Vitran from Leicester:  I'd love spurs to win the title. Tired of seeing the big money spenders win everything in life and always get their way ie Barca, Real, Juventus, Manchester Clubs, Liverpool, Arsenal. What a refreshing change if after Leicester last season another low spender wins the title. This fox is definitely backing and hoping Spurs do it.
