    Stoke City 1-2 Liverpool

And this was the other Brazilian that Jurgen Klopp didn't start. Correcting a mistake, or genius to hold them back? It's a wonderful, wonderful goal. One ball over the top, Roberto Firmino watches it on to the right boot and lashes over Lee Grant from 20 yards or more. Absolutely brilliant.

It is a rare day indeed when Fabian Delph scores.

The midfielder made his debut for Leeds as a 17-year-old in May 2007.

He has now scored 12 league goals, at an average of just over one every calendar year.

His best return was five in 2008. That was his first in 2017.

Anonymous: Everyone keeps asking why Klopp did not start with Firmino and Coutinho but the reason is obvious: he thinks they each have only 45 minutes of football in them so he tried to get to half-time all square. Obvious.

Bill in Hereford:  Klopp starting to lose me, been a big fan up until now but going for youth from the start when there's this much at stake? Nah. If they needed a rest he should of thought of that in the transfer window

    Stoke City 1-1 Liverpool

It's been coming ever since Philippe Coutinho was introduced at half-time. Chaos in the Stoke box, Coutinho with the freedom of Staffordshire to lash in the equaliser from about 12 yards out. How different might this game have been had he played from the start? Only one winner here...

    Why didn't he start?

Better build-up from West Brom but the same result as Nacer Chadli clips a shot straight at Fraser Forster from the edge of the area. Is there a goal on the cards for the Albion?

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:28 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Stoke 1-0 Liverpool

The lesser-spotted Daniel Sturridge, who has scored in his last four games against Stoke, is on for Divock Origi. Stoke replace Jon Walters with Glenn Whelan. Those changes tell you about the mindsets of these two teams.

  11. Postpublished at 16:26 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    West Ham 1-0 Swansea

Swansea are having plenty of the ball, but the West Ham wall of claret and blue is holding firm. Gylfi Sigurdsson is cutting a frustrated figure. The good news for the Swans is that Hull are getting thwacked at Manchester City.

Great effort! Great technique from Alvaro Negredo to launch himself and meet a cross from the left with an acrobatic scissor kick, pure Mark Hughes, but he drills his shot right at Tom Heaton!

This is turning into a bad day for Swansea. Jack Cork is being helped from the field with an ankle injury. Jefferson Montero is introduced as the Swans' third substitute.

Philippe Coutinho could be man of the match. He's everywhere. Stoke are clinging on. At the other end, Ragnar Klavan, who has already been booked, pushes over a charging Xherdan Shaqiri. All of Stoke wants another booking, but the cards stay in the pocket.

Chance for Burnley, who are on top now and sniff a rare away win. Defender Ben Mee wins a header from a corner but can only nut it straight at Victor Valdes. A yard either side etc...
