"There is a tinge of disappointment as just needed to manage the game better after our second goal.

"For their second I've seen them given as a free-kick.

"Benteke is riding on Benalouane's back but there's nothing we can do about it now as the referee has given it.

"It was pleasing in the second half that we played a bit more football than we played in the first half."

Stoke City

Stoke boss Mark Hughes: "It was a big three points. An important three points. We’ve come through a period that was arguably our most testing of the season in terms of fixtures.

"For the most part this season we’ve picked up points against the teams below us and that’s what we’ve done today.

We eventually needed to make a change to get a bit more threat and they helped. Jon Walters plonked it on Crouch’s head and the game’s done from my point of view.

Shaquiri’s goal  was the icing on the cake. 

"As a consequence of winning today I think we can probably express ourselves a bit more in the remaining games."

Hull City

Hull boss Marco Silva: "I’m not happy with our performance in general. We need to do more. We need to improve. At this level we need to start strong and play 90 minutes, not 80 minutes.

"Our team only played 80 minutes because the first 10 we didn’t play. We can’t start the game like we started.

"We reacted well. We controlled the last 30 mins of the first half. The second half we reacted, started strong, scored the goal. When you have chances like we had in the game, we have to score.

"Only our team can change the situation. Five more games, the next game is a chance for more points."

Swansea manager Paul Clement describes his side's 1-0 Premier League defeat at Watford as "a missed opportunity" as they miss the opportunity to escape the bottom three.

Sunderland

Sunderland manager David Moyes: "I thought the boys played really well today, they showed great character to come back. We didn't deserve to go a goal down. 

"Wahbi (Khazri) played well, scored a good goal and his general play was good. 

 "We lost our markers (for the second goal). We hardly conceded any corners and in the build-up there was a free-kick I wasn't sure about. 

"I was pleased, but not with the corner kick. We didn't defend it as well as we should have done.

"We need to win games and today we've got to take three points. It wasn't for the want of trying.

"We'll keep believing while we're in with a chance, somewhere along the line hope the football gods will shine on us."

On defender Billy Jones, who was stretchered off: "The medical team tell me his head hit the ground and he lost consciousness, a bit of concussion. We've sent him to hospital, but I'm sure he'll be OK." 

Leicester City

Jamie Vardy, speaking to BBC Sport: "We're a bit gutted with the result in the end - if we'd held on to the two-goal lead for a bit longer, we'd have been fine.

"For their second goal I thought Christian Benteke used Yohan Benalouane as a step-ladder so you'd have thought it would be blown for a free-kick.

"With the side we put out today, we definitely went for it so to get a goal was fantastic but I would've preferred the three points with it."

Paul Clement speaking to BBC Sport: "I think we did enough defensively. The goal has come for an individual error and Alfie (Mawson) knew that straight away. It's a big mistake.

"Offensively we got the ball into some good areas but we were missing a clinical edge in the final third. That for me was the difference.

"Hull not winning today keeps things the same but for me it's a missed opportunity not to get a point today.

"We had over 45 minutes to try and get out of that situation but we couldn't get the breakthrough.

"The next game is a must-win game for us. It's the biggest game the club has had in years.

"We will probably need three wins out of the last five to stay up. And I'm not even sure that would be enough."

Hull City

Hull goalscorer Harry Maguire: "We feel disappointed in there. We started sloppy and deserved to be a goal behind. But we were the dominant team in the last 20 minutes of the first half and the first 20 minutes of the second and we got a goal that we deserved.

"But they made two changes and Crouch got a great goal and Shaqiri has finished the game off with a great strike. 

"It was end to end and today was down to who took their chances. It’s not been a bad performance but we’ve got to take the positives now. 

"Today was a massive game in terms of dragging people into [the relegation fight]. It’s a disappointing result. We fancied our chances today."

I think Ross Barkley handled today's pressure really well. He cleared the ball off the line at one point and generally succeeded in having an influence on the game. His manager Ronald Koeman will be impressed with how he's handled the off-the-field distractions this week.

Sam Allardyce, speaking to BBC Sport: "Today's point feels like a win, it's a tremendous fight back from the players and that wouldn't have happened when I first arrived - it just shows the change of mood of the players.

"We've got 35 points now and it's been a fantastic run of results.

"I spend a bit of time boring the players with getting the basics right but it's the basis of result - for those Leicester goals we didn't get them right although Jamie Vardy took his goal brilliantly."

West Ham United

West Ham boss Slaven Bilic: "We are disappointed to concede a late goal. It was a fair result. it is a point, we wanted three and we were close. 

"They were throwing long balls in, putting the bodies in, from one of those situations they score the goal. 

"We have four points from the last two games, we have an unfinished job to do. We have to pick up more points to be safe."

Burnley manager Sean Dyche: "It's a tough one to take, I thought we were good today. We had two cleared off the line and two good chances. We've been punished by a bobbly first goal, a bobbly second one and then a great finish from a top striker. It's a good performance on the road that suggests we will get there in the end.

"I was pleased with the mentality of the players. Everton are in top form and we enhanced the game with our plan today. There's life in performances like that. We've got to take in on now. We do need a margin of luck.

"I don't think Sam Vokes is a bad injury but we'll see. It'll take a couple of days to settle down."

West Ham United

West Ham goalscorer James Collins: "We came looking for the three points and were pretty comfortable, but to go in front and concede we were disappointed. 

"We invited a bit too much pressure on ourselves. We're bitterly disappointed. Any late goal is frustrating."

"It was a type of final today. But we did it today in a very tough game.

"I pressed him (Alfie Mawson) and I won my challenge. I had to finish and I did it. Our defence today did very well. We need to look forward now - Hull City will be another final."
