Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, speaking to BBC Sport: " Frustrated is a tough word. We didn't win but we didn't lose. We created a lot of chances and they didn't. We tried. We made everything and fought like never before.

"In the second half we were much better. At high levels you have to play every three or four days and you have to get uses to it. To play in three competitions is not easy when the opponent is playing for one or two, but it is what it is. We go to Middlesbrough in two and a half days and we will prepare mentally to win the game."

Another easy game for Stoke coming up - league leaders Chelsea. At least they have a bit of time to recover from this energy-sapping performance before facing Antonio Conte's side in the Potteries on 18 March (15:00 GMT).

"We could have very easily taken the lead and we restricted them to very few clear opportunities. Not many teams come here and restrict Man City to so few chances."

Manchester City

Manchester City play in the FA Cup and the Champions League before their next Premier League game at home to Liverpool on Sunday, 19 March.

Pep Guardiola's side are away to Middlesbrough in the FA Cup sixth round on Saturday (12:15 GMT) before travelling to France to face Monaco in their last-16 Champions League tie next Wednesday.

City lead Monaco 5-3 from the first leg.

Manchester City just didn't do enough in the opening 45 minutes and they left it all too late. It's a great point for Stoke City.

This feels a significant result in the race for the Premier League title. Manchester City fail to score at home in the league for the first time under Pep Guardiola and stay third. Leaders Chelsea are 10 points clear with 11 games to go.
