    Man City 0-0 Stoke

Remember Stoke got slaughtered for that recent warm weather training trip to Dubai? They deserve a sunshine trip for the effort they've put in here. Few gave Mark Hughes' side a chance - they're minutes away from a precious point.

  2. Postpublished at 80 mins

    Man City 0-0 Stoke

Saido Berahino will not finish the game. He's replaced by Glenn Whelan for the last 10 minutes. Stoke have 11 players behind the ball.

    Man City 0-0 Stoke

Wave after wave of Manchester City pressure.

David Silva's shot takes a deflection, before Nicolaas Otamendi's header from the resulting corner lands on the roof of the net.

Around 12 minutes left. They will seem like hours for Stoke who have worked themselves silly.

  4. Postpublished at 76 mins

    Man City 0-0 Stoke

More Manchester City firepower. Kelechi Iheanacho is on for Yaya Toure for the closing stages. His instructions from Pep Guardiola are simple: "Get us a goal".

    Man City 0-0 Stoke

David Silva has made a big difference since coming on. Stoke's defence is being dragged all over the place but still the visitors are hanging on. More movement on the Manchester City bench.

  6. CLOSE!published at 72 mins

    Man City 0-0 Stoke

Agonisingly close by David Silva. Great vision by Fernandinho to lay it off to Silva who is left unmarked as Joe Allen has not tracked back. Silva drills it with his left foot first time...and it rolls just wide.

  7. Postpublished at 70 mins

    Man City 0-0 Stoke

Two quick chances for Manchester City who are starting to get desperate.

Yaya Toure skies the first before Sergio Aguero goes so close to poking home from close range.

Stoke are now on the back foot.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 67 mins

    Man City 0-0 Stoke

Mame Biram Diouf's shift is over. And what an immense shift it was. The Stoke forward is replaced by Ibrahim Afellay. Boos ring out as Diouf walks off at a snail's pace.

It is the home side who are desperate for a goal but this game is by no means one-way traffic.

The Manchester City fans are still urging their team forward but they are not exactly piling on the pressure and Stoke look dangerous when they win back possession and play long balls over the top.

Manchester City have scored in all their Premier League home games under Pep Guardiola. Is this the night that changes?

This would be a really good point for Stoke if they can hang on. There's still a long way to go but it would be a good night's work if they can take home the point.

  12. Postpublished at 64 mins

    Man City 0-0 Stoke

Stoke have conceded 40 league goals this season - 10 more than Middlesbrough, who are sitting in the relegation zone.

This will be a massive confidence booster if they can hang on.

  13. 'Sane skied it'published at 21:20 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March 2017

That was probably one of the best chances Manchester City have had. It was on Sane's right foot around the penalty spot, but the ball was around knee high and he had to really get on top of it to bother Lee Grant. In the end he skies it.

    Man City 0-0 Stoke

Great chance for Manchester City but Leroy Sane lashes over from 12 yards when composure was needed. An hour gone. Stoke have been excellent but chances are starting to fall for the hosts.

Here he comes...a roar goes up as David Silva comes on for Jesus Navas. The less said about Navas' contribution the better.

Sergio Aguero lets fly from distance. It's heading for the net before Erik Pieters manages to block it. There's a lot more urgency to Manchester City now.

    Naughty by Leroy Sane.

He dives after Phil Bardsley, who has already been booked, pulls out of a challenge at the last second. Sane was trying to con the referee.

Neil Swarbrick is having none of it and books the German.

  19. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Man City 0-0 Stoke

Surely Pep Guardiola has to call for fresh legs from the bench?

City are a shadow of the team that has coasted to victory in their last four league games.

It's a good little flick on from Walters. Berahino runs onto it and Clichy is sleeping, but he just can't get the shot away.
