  1. Should Hull have had a penalty?published at 47 mins

    Hull City 0-0 Watford

We're getting some replays of that Hull penalty appeal at the end of the first half and it looks like they had a case as it seems Grosicki was definitely caught by Amrabat as he looked to shoot.

One more grievance for the home faithful.

  4. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 22 April 2017

    Hull City 0-0 Watford

An odd end to the half.

Hull are seething at the official for that red card, a decision which is sure to dominate discussion on Match of the Day later - especially if Hull go on to lose this vital game.

Watford, too, are unhappy with Madley over his failure to punish Ranocchia for that challenge on Niang at the end of the half.

The referee goes into the tunnel amid howls of abuse from the home support.

Half-hearted Hull penalty appeals as Grosicki goes down in the area but the referee waves it away.

A minute later Ranocchia goes in heavily on Niang and seems to catch him, but referee Madley gives nothing.

Two minutes of added time to be played. Hull need the whistle quickly.

  8. Postpublished at 44 mins

    Hull City 0-0 Watford

Watford win their sixth corner of the match as Maguire diverts the ball narrowly over the bar from Niang's cross. Hull's goal survives again - just - but it's frantic back there.

  9. Postpublished at 43 mins

    Hull City 0-0 Watford

Markovic is now the man most advanced for Hull in the absence of Niasse but he's not seeing anything of the ball - Watford are all over them at the moment.

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 41 mins

    Hull City 0-0 Watford

Alfred N'Diaye goes into the book for Hull after an agricultural challenge on Amrabat.

The last thing they need is to go down to nine men.

    Hull City 0-0 Watford

This Watford side are really well drilled. They are all over Hull when they lose possession, even though their Premier League status is as good as secured.

Troy Deeney hits the base of the post for Watford but the offside flag had been raised.

A minute later Nordin Amrabat works a shooting chance on the edge of the box but Hull's defenders crowd him out.

From the resulting corner, Britos heads wastefully wide.

    Hull wobbling here.

Niang getting booed by the Hull fans every time he touches the ball after his reaction to that red-card challenge.

It's a hard one to judge to be honest. He was certainly caught by Niasse and it looks like his sock was ripped, but the impact itself looked light.

  14. GREAT SAVE!published at 31 mins

    Hull City 0-0 Watford

Superb stop by Eldin Jakupovic to keep the scoreline blank.

Watford defender Prodl heads towards goal from a corner and Jakupovic sticks out a hand to tip it over the bar.

Janmaat's cross is cut out for a corner as Watford seek to add to Hull's misery.

    Dean Saunders
Ex-Liverpool and Wales striker on Final Score

Parents pay fortunes for their children to go and watch these games, and the best players are sitting in the stands. There is no chance that should be a sending-off. Games are being ruined by refereeing like that.

When you're down the bottom you need a bit of luck, and that red card for Oumar Niasse is very unlucky. The manager, Marco Silva, is absolutely raging on the sidelines.

This is a hugely controversial one. Referee Madley issues a straight red card to Oumar Niasse after he challenges for the ball with M'Baye Niang.

It was a lazy leg left out by the striker but certainly there did not seem to be any intent to catch the man.

With Premier League safety at stake, that is a massive call by the official.

    Frustration for Hull.

They finally get Watford outnumbered at the back and all Grosicki has to do is weight a good pass to Robertson but he gets it wrong and the goalkeeper collects.

Referee Bobby Madley has just taken exception to Elmohamady making a pair of glasses with his hands at the official after he missed an obvious handball.

Madley has a word with Elmohamady and skipper Maguire, but no card shown.

    Hull City 0-0 Watford

I don't suppose the Hull players are aware of this yet, but Swansea have taken the lead against Stoke to drop the Tigers into the bottom three as it stands.

The stakes in this game just got a little bit higher...
