It's definitely a cross but he puts it into an area where if it doesn't get a touch then that's what happens.

That's the quality of Mahrez that we know he can produce.

    West Ham 0-1 Leicester

This is unknown territory for Foxes boss Craig Shakespeare - his first away game in charge - and he gets the perfect start with an early goal.

It's Riyad Mahrez who gets it as he crosses in towards the back stick and it dumbfounds everyone to go through and into the net.

Unbelievably that's the first time Leicester have led a game first away from home all season.

How was the reaction to Romelu Lukaku's name being read out over the speakers before kick-off? Positive, with a huge roar greeting it. Will he reward the fans with goal number 20 of the season?

Unfortunately I do believe Sunderland will come to the end of the luck that they have had over the last few seasons. They have had a few decent players in the squad who have stood up and counted, Jermain Defoe being one of them.

I just don't see how they will get out of this mess.

There are some Sunderland players with quality but they are not showing it on a regular basis and that's what frustrates the fans. I think even the fans are now believing they won't stay up.

The pitch at the Bet365 Stadium looks lush.

Trimmed, clean-cut lines all over, absolutely beautiful.

It's a bit like looking in the mirror after a trip to the barber's.

Not a good start to the weekend for Arsenal. They could end it sixth if Manchester United beat Middlesbrough tomorrow.

Or...if Everton beat Hull 7-0 today then they could still drop a place.

  15. League Two previewpublished at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2017

Thierry Henry, of all people, has given Newport some encouragement as they attempt to secure Football League survival. The former Arsenal striker, who sent a supportive text message to caretaker-boss Mike Flynn this week, will no doubt be following news of their home game against Blackpool.

Elsewhere, it's top versus bottom, as leaders Doncaster visit troubled Leyton Orient , who are scheduled to face a winding-up petition at the High Court on Monday. Second-placed Plymouth host Morecambe.

Portsmouth , with a six-point cushion in the third and final automatic promotion place, are at sixth-placed Stevenage. A home win might just open up the chase for a top-three spot; Carlisle , in fourth, are at Mansfield, while fifth-placed Luton host Exeter, in seventh.

  16. League One previewpublished at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2017

Sheffield United have opened up an eight-point lead thanks to an eight-match unbeaten run, which they will be expected to extend as mid-table Charlton visit Bramall Lane today.

The chase for the other automatic place is boiling along very nicely, with just four points between Fleetwood , in second, and Bradford , in fifth.

Uwe Rosler’s side host AFC Wimbledon, while the Bantams are at home to relegation-threatened Swindon. Bolton , in third, host Northampton, while fourth-placed Scunthorpe are at Oxford.

Millwall , their FA Cup run over, return to the business of trying to secure a play-off place as Bury visit The Den.

  17. Championship previewpublished at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2017

Newcastle and Brighton have the chance to strengthen their hold on the automatic promotion places after third-placed Huddersfield, six points behind the top two, lost 4-0 at Bristol City last night.

Rafa Benitez’s side, who lead the table on goal difference, are away at Birmingham, whose manager Gianfranco Zola is under intense pressure after winning just two of his 16 league games in charge. Brighton visit fifth-placed Leeds in the 17:30 GMT kick-off.

At the bottom, Rotherham will be relegated if they lose at QPR, Blackburn and Nottingham Forest both win and Burton avoid defeat at home to Brentford.

Congratulations are in order for Mick McCarthy, celebrating 25 years in management - having been appointed to his first position, at Millwall, on this day in 1992. McCarthy marks the occasion by taking his Ipswich side to Cardiff.

This is the first of four huge home six pointers for Palace against relegation rivals. They'll need 10 points from them. They also have all of the top six to play as well!

Back-to-back wins have given them hope of staying up but they must win this.

Watford can make themselves safe in three successive winnable games before a big summer clear out that could include the head coach. Walter Mazzari probably needs to better last season's points tally to survive.

Big Sam Allardyce got in a tizz about the Hornets' mascot at Xmas. He'll be hoping to avoid a nasty sting in the tail this time.
