  2. INJURY TIMEpublished at 91 mins

    Sunderland 0-1 Bournemouth

Remarkable stuff at St Mary's. Southampton have a penalty as that goal went in at the Stadium of Light but it was saved by Eldin Jakupovic.

Sunderland are still going down as it stands. We're into added time here.

Clinical stuff on the break away. Ryan Fraser feeds Joshua King who makes no mistake with the finish. Sunderland are going down as it stands.

  5. CLOSE!published at 88 mins

    Sunderland 0-0 Bournemouth

    Route one at it's best.

A long ball from Jordan Pickford is played right up to the penalty area where its headed on in the direction of Jermain Defoe.

The Englishman takes a touch and shoots but the effort is blocked narrowly over. As they say, that could have gone anywhere.

  6. Postpublished at 86 mins

    Sunderland 0-0 Bournemouth

Has Lamine Kone got away with one?

Joshua King goes down after the Ivorian puts an arm on his shoulder and pleads for a penalty.

Having seen a replay the referee got that one absolutely right.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 83 mins

    Sunderland 0-0 Bournemouth

Charlie Daniels is jogging around the pitch with one boot on at the moment. I'm not sure how he lost it but the boot is currently in his own half.

Another sub for Bournemouth as Lys Mousset replaces Marc Pugh.

  8. Postpublished at 80 mins

    Sunderland 0-0 Bournemouth

That yellow for Arter is his 10th of the season but luckily for him we're beyond the cut-off for a suspension.

That bit of handbags has sparked the home fans into life. Cries of "ha'way the lads" ring down from the stands.

  9. Handbagspublished at 77 mins

    Sunderland 0-0 Bournemouth

This has been a fairly placid game but it's all got a bit feisty now.

Fabio Borini hacks down Lewis Cook from behind which results in a whole load of pushing and shoving from almost all of the outfield players.

In the end Borini and Harry Arter get their names taken, the latter for his reaction to the foul.

    Sunderland 0-0 Bournemouth

It's no surprise this one is goalless. Sunderland have failed to score in eight of their past nine games, don't forget.

Bournemouth are not the best on the road either, they're without a win in their past seven away.

Marc Pugh has had a couple of headed opportunities at the back post today by getting above Donald Love. He has wasted the latest of those, nodding over the bar.

  11. Postpublished at 68 mins

    Sunderland 0-0 Bournemouth

The Sunderland fans seem to be getting behind local lad Honeyman. The 22-year-old midfielder finds space in the box and is picked out by Fabio Borini but his shot his saved by Boruc at the near post.

  12. Postpublished at 64 mins

    Sunderland 0-0 Bournemouth

Still goalless at St Mary's between Hull and Southampton.

As it stands Sunderland are staying up at least for another week.

  13. Postpublished at 62 mins

    Sunderland 0-0 Bournemouth

If Sunderland are to go down they could have to look more to their academy next season.

George Honeyman has been at the club since the age of 10 and gets a good round of applause as he beats his man.

Elliot Embleton and Lynden Gooch are two other youngsters on the bench today.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 57 mins

    Sunderland 0-0 Bournemouth

What's that saying about London buses?

Benik Afobe looks to have damaged his hamstring. He's replaced by Junior Stanislas.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 56 mins

    Sunderland 0-0 Bournemouth

    First change of the day.

Steven Pienaar is off and Sunderland academy product George Honeyman comes on for just his fourth Premier League appearance.

  16. Postpublished at 55 mins

    Sunderland 0-0 Bournemouth

More hands on heads from the Bournemouth players.

Ryan Fraser crosses a free-kick from the right and Steve Cook climbs highest in the box but heads over when unchallenged.

You have to say he should have done better there.

  17. Postpublished at 53 mins

    Sunderland 0-0 Bournemouth

    That's better from Sunderland.

Finally they inject a bit of pace into their play as Defoe plays Fabio Borini in on goal.

The Italian carries on into the area and shoots across Artur Boruc who saves well. The Sunderland fans are encouraged by that and show their approval.

  18. CLOSE!published at 51 mins

    Sunderland 0-0 Bournemouth

Marc Pugh has his hands on his head after this shot which suggests how close it was.

From the left-side of the penalty area he looks for the far post but it goes narrowly wide.

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 48 mins

    Sunderland 0-0 Bournemouth

Steven Pienaar gets a deserved yellow card for a foul on King. That's one way to stop the Bournemouth striker scoring.

  20. KICK-OFFpublished at 46 mins

    Sunderland 0-0 Bournemouth

Sunderland get the second half under way.

Seconds after the re-start Marc Pugh has a free header at the back post but fails to make a proper connection.
