The press should lock Arsene Wenger in the media room and not let him leave until he confirms what he is doing next season. Now is the time to hear it, surely?

Simon Taylor: Perfect! Winning the last NLD at The Lane. My grin is wider than my face. COYS.

Craig Smith: Not sure how that could have went worse for Arsenal. Both Spurs golden boys scored, outplayed across the pitch, little fight.

Jaleel Oladipo: Arsenal need to rid themselves of deadwood next season including Arsene. Spurs need to retain their core, especially Mauricio.

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen, speaking to Sky Sports: "It was a massive game in so many different ways. We showed from the start we wanted to win more than them, and that we want to stay in the title race. It was a great performance throughout the team, from Hugo to Harry."

Tottenham striker Harry Kane, speaking to Sky Sports: "Incredible. We obviously wanted to finish the last north London derby here on a high note and we did that. We worked hard, we created the better chances, what a day. A great weekend for us.

"It was a penalty for me. I was clipped, it was a foul. I went down the middle earlier in the season against Arsenal which is probably why Petr Cech stayed there this time. We're only thinking about the title race - the fans having bragging rights is just an added bonus."

'It's good for the fans' to finish above Arsenal, says Harry Kane. But he insists that the team are focused on the title race still.

Mauricio Pochettino shakes the hand of every player as they leave the pitch. That's nine league wins in a row for Spurs.

In fact their season has been superb. It's all credit to Chelsea that they are still on top given the form of Tottenham.

Four draws in a row in October and November look damaging.

Tottenham are keeping up the pressure on Chelsea, they've done everything they possibly can. There wasn't much in it during the first half, but Spurs deserved the win.

Iain Whyte: Spurs first class performance. Still Chelsea's to lose, and no resistance really. Good Manchester draws for Liverpool.

Tony Mullin: Spurs are a very good side, just not as good as flaky, flaky Arsenal have made them look.

Carl Zalek: I find it an anticlimax beating the Arsenal hoodoo. We're almost certainly guaranteed second spot and still chasing first.

Good football from Arsenal, as they patch together a neat passing move, but when Aaron Ramsey finds Theo Walcott in the middle he can only side-foot straight at Hugo Lloris.

There hasn't been a lot in it but Tottenham have been the better side, especially in this second half.

Spurs have got Christian Eriksen, Harry Kane and Dele Alli. Arsenal have got Alexis Sanchez. That pretty much sums it up.

Victor Wanyama has been superb this afternoon, and here is cutting out a pass, playing a one-two with Dele Alli and then teeing up Harry Kane. Great play.

Arsenal go direct and almost have some joy, but Hugo Lloris races out to head clear. Almost done.
