    HT: Reading 1-0 Leeds

We mentioned earlier that, even at this stage of the season, Chris Wood could yet score against 22 of the other 23 teams in the Championship.

Of course, we asked you which team have already kept him out twice this season. And the answer? QPR, of course!

Credit goes to Thomas Roberts,Conor McCrory and Paul The Wall Davis for chirping up with the correct shout. Extra points go to Thomas, who got in there first.

  3. Magpies focused on themselves - Benitezpublished at 18:24 British Summer Time 1 April 2017

    Newcastle United 2-1 Wigan Athletic

Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez is only focusing on his own team after their narrow win over Wigan.

Third-placed Huddersfield suffered a surprise defeat by Burton to see the Magpies go 10 points clear of the Terriers.

He told BBC Newcastle: "It's important for us to concentrate on ourselves. We have to just get three points in very game."

He added: "We had chances to score more goals but the final pass wasn't the best.

"We wanted to finish the game but also manage the game better towards the end."

  4. Reading's best half this season?published at 18:21 British Summer Time 1 April 2017

    HT: Reading 1-0 Leeds

    Mick Gooding
Ex-Reading player/manager on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

"That is the best I have seen Reading play this season. They have created really good chances for themselves.

"Against a big team, they have believed in everything they've done.

"Jaap Stam wants them to pass the ball out from the back but they are making the right decisions. When it is on to go forward, they have picked the right pass."

And reading almost use the extra 60 seconds very wisely indeed, as Yann Kermorgant guides an effort from 20 yards against the outside of the post.

It was the polar opposite of his goal, this time just passing the ball towards the corner of Rob Green's net - only this time it fell the wrong side.

Leeds seem to be ending the half the stronger after that flurry of opportunities, but a sustained spell of pressure ends with a foul by Kyle Bartley.

  9. Sad day for the club - Warnepublished at 18:13 British Summer Time 1 April 2017

    Rotherham United 0-1 Fulham

Rotherham interim manager Paul Warne says he wants something positive to come from their final seven games. The Millers were relegated back to League One after a defeat by Fulham.

He told BBC Radio Sheffield: "It's a sad day for the players, the staff and everyone at the club.

"If I'm truly honest I knew we were down prior to this game. I didn't let that out to the lads but they're not stupid.

"I'm the manager who took them down so it's not great for my ego or self esteem but I was proud of some of what we did today.

"I want something positive from what's left, whatever that may be."

    Rotherham United 0-1 Fulham

Sone Aluko's goal condemns Rotherham to relegation and lifts Fulham into the championship play-off places.

"It was a fantastic cross for Leeds. He just couldn't get his foot on it.

"But, five seconds earlier, Reading could go 2-0 up. Could McCleary have just used his pace and knocked it past Rob Green?"

Pablo Hernandez wastes a terrific chance to equalise, stretching to connect with Alfonso Pedraza's cross but sending his effort looping over.

Three huge chances in the space of about three minutes, no goals to show for them.

    And now another Royals chance!

Another ball through splits the Leeds defence and Garath McCleary races clean through on goal, but it's a bit of a nothing finish up against goalkeeper Rob Green, who is out quickly to smother it.

And then, from the very next attack at the other end...

    Reading 1-0 Leeds

Roy Beerens is so close to scoring an absolute belter, latching onto John Swift's cute pass over the top, bringing the ball down brilliantly but then firing over.

Could he have dinked it over Rob Green? It's probably a harsh criticism, because the first touch was superb.

  14. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Reading 1-0 Leeds

Reading look really, really comfortable here. It's always a safety-first policy from Jaap Stam's team, keeping the ball when they get it and quickly getting men behind the ball when they lose it.

  15. Seagulls not at their best - Hughtonpublished at 18:02 British Summer Time 1 April 2017

Brighton & Hove Albion 1-0 Blackburn Rovers

Brighton boss Chris Hughton admitted his team were not on top form in their win over Blackburn. The Seagulls saw off struggling Blackburn 1-0 in front of the biggest ever league crowd at the Amex.

"I thought they were good but we knew that because they're on a good run," he told BBC Sussex.

"I didn't think we were at our best but we were able to raise it in the second half and that is what got us the victory.

"When you don't play the way you would like to play then you've got to take winning any way it comes."

He added: "The crowd were excellent and they were good even in periods when we weren't at our best."

    Reading 1-0 Leeds

Leeds' star striker Chris Wood has stayed down after a challenge with Tyle Blackett, who appeared to clatter the Kiwi in the face with an arm. It all looked accidental, though, and Wood's back on his feet now.

Reading, meanwhile, are back on the ball...

They say goals change games, but I'm not sure this one has. The pattern of the match has already settled back down, with Reading keeping the ball and Leeds keeping their shape.

That said, Alfonso Pedraza almost sniffs himself out half a chance as the visitors spring a counter-attack, but it doesn't trouble Ali Al-Habsi.

What a hit that is from Yann Kermorgant!

Having stood so firm for the first 20 minutes, one poor defensive header is all it takes for things to open up for Reading and frontman Kermorgant, who drills a right-footed shot in at Rob Green's near post, which the ex-England goalkeeper gets a hand to but can't keep out.
