    Wigan 0-0 Barnsley

It's a quiet, quiet start. No pattern to the play as of yet.

    Bury 0-0 Rochdale

We're also under way in Bury, from where BBC Radio Manchester's Liam Bradford brings us a bit of news about their striker Tom Pope, who has been given a slap on the wrists by the FA following a social media rant at Sheffield Wednesday's former Barnsley striker Sam Winnall.

    Wigan 0-0 Barnsley

We are up and running at the DW Stadium. A big, big night for Wigan this.

Barnsley may have nothing much to play for. But they are chasing a tenth away win. A nice round fugure that.

  4. Bury show support for Joe Thompsonpublished at 19:45 British Summer Time 13 April 2017

    Bury v Rochdale (19:45 BST)

This is good to see before a local derby, Bury's players wearing shirts in support of Rochdale's Joe Thompson, who was diagnosed with cancer for the second time last month.

  5. Elsewhere...published at 19:43 British Summer Time 13 April 2017

    Wigan v Barnsley (19:45 BST)

Barnsley's visit to the DW Stadium isn't the only football we have for you this evening.

If a continental flavour is your thing, then you'll probably already know that Manchester United are at Anderlecht this evening in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final.

    You can follow that here.

But it's clearly a night for Greater Manchester teams to be in action as Bury host Rochdale in a League One derby, the result of which could be significant in the battle to beat relegation.

We'll keep you up to date with that one right here.

  9. Fancy free, fantasy football?published at 19:36 British Summer Time 13 April 2017

    Wigan v Barnsley (19:45 BST)

Barnsley can relax. Seemingly they have very little to play for, sitting as they do in 13th place.

Is that good news for the hosts? Will Barnsley go through the motions a bit? Or will the shackles be off? We will soon find out.

  10. Keeping the beliefpublished at 19:31 British Summer Time 13 April 2017

    Wigan v Barnsley (19:45 BST)

Good evening. We have Championship football for you on this fine evening.

And it's a crucial one in the struggle at the wrong end of the table where Wigan interim boss Graham Barrow this week said he had never stopped believing his side can avoid relegation from the Championship.

I suspect he had a few doubts when they were only drawing 2-2 with Rotherham last weekend. Surely?

Anyway, a last-gasp win means the Latics are "only" seven points from safety. But with just five games to go, it seems like another win tonight is a must to keep alive their hopes.
