Cardiff 0-2 Newcastle
Daryl Murphy, who I have barely mentioned tonight, has been replaced up front by Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Atsu and Hayden with second-half goals for Newcastle
Magpies now one behind leaders Brighton

Cardiff 0-2 Newcastle
Daryl Murphy, who I have barely mentioned tonight, has been replaced up front by Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Cardiff 0-2 Newcastle
Isaac Hayden has scored his first goal since August and what a way to do it.
The Newcastle midfielder sizes up from a full 30 yards out, and with little backlift, fires into the left-hand corner of the net with Allan McGregor totally unmoved.
Brighton may still have work to do in this title race.
Isaac Hayden
What a hit, son.
Cardiff 0-1 Newcastle
Is this the last time Peter Whittingham will grace the Cardiff pitch as a home player?
Whittingham is replaced by Anthony Pilkington, while Joe Ralls comes on for Greg Halford in a double substition.
Cardiff 0-1 Newcastle

If ever a moment of brilliant skill was to lift a tame affair, that free-kick from Christian Atsu was it.
It was struck with an almost lazy nonchalance, clipping the ball casually over the wall and leaving Allan McGregor helpless in the Cardiff goal.
As you might expect, the sizeable contingent of travelling Newcastle fans are loving life at the moment.
Cardiff 0-1 Newcastle
Aron Gunnarsson fooled us all.
Instead of going long, he went short to Jazz Richards, but Richards cross is, well, long.
Christian Atsu goes down the other end and fires over after a 30-yard run. He's got his tail up.
Cardiff 0-1 Newcastle
Newcastle fans have found the voice that they lost at some point in the early hours of Tuesday morning amidst the promotion celebrations - poking fun at the position of Sunderland in the Premier League.
On the pitch, not an awful lot to report, other than an Aron Gunnarsson throw in to come...
Cardiff 0-1 Newcastle
Newcastle are on top now and Ayoze Perez dribbles though the Cardiff defence, only to overrun the ball when he looked to be in on goal.
Cardiff 0-1 Newcastle
Christian Atsu - take a bow.
He may have gone over easily for the foul, but picks himself up, and manages to get the ball over the wall, before it dips and curls into the top corner.
A moment of quality in a drab affair, and one that keeps the title race alive.
Christian Atsu
Cardiff 0-0 Newcastle
Sean Morrison gives away such a soft free-kick on the edge of the area, when he bundles over Christian Atsu.
It's central and just on the edge, and I mean just.
Cardiff 0-0 Newcastle
The game is finally opening up and Mohamed Diame strides forward for Newcastle before teeing up Ayoze Perez, whose strike is blocked by Jazz Richards.
Cardiff then go down the other end with a similar move and this time Isaac Hayden blocks an effort from Kenneth Zohore.
Zohore then went down in the area, to very faint appeals. The ref doesn't hear them.
Cardiff 0-0 Newcastle
That's the best chance of the game so far, and it's fallen to the former Brighton man Craig Noone.
Joe Bennett's ball into the middle falls to a free Noone at the back post, but scuffs the ball wide. A bit more composure from the Cardiff player and he would have scored.
Cardiff 0-0 Newcastle
DeAndre Yedlin is making strides down the right for Newcastle, charging forward to get on the end of a cross-field ball, but his header into the middle doesn't reach a team-mate.
Daryl Murphy has barely figured up front for Newcastle so far tonight.

Gareth Evans: If Swansea go down, I wouldn't mind Llorente or Sigurdsson for Newcastle.
Ned: Desperately need another midfielder to replace Peter Whittingham, who I expect to leave. Someone like Josh Morris of Scunthorpe.
Morris has scored 20 goals from midfield for Scunthorpe this season, and has helped them into the League One play-offs.
Cardiff 0-0 Newcastle
Jack Colback gets us back under way. Let's hope the second half is better than the first, put it that way.
