  2. 'We are confident'published at 20:04 British Summer Time 6 May 2017

    Swansea 1-0 Everton

    Swansea City

More from Paul Clement on BBC Sport: "We are confident we can go anywhere and get a result with the form we're in. We're focused on Sunderland on Saturday.

"It's not done. It just shows what happened this weekend, the swing can go with you one week and then go against you. We've got to try and pick up all three points."

  3. 'If you don't score, you don't win'published at 20:02 British Summer Time 6 May 2017

    Swansea 1-0 Everton

    Everton

Everton manager Ronald Koeman speaking to BBC Sport: "I need to recognise they had good defending in the set plays, we were more dangerous in the second part of the game.

"We didn't create a lot. We need to create chances for him (Romelu Lukaku), support him, that was better in the second half.

"The difference between playing at home and playing away offensively is too big - if you don't score, you don't win.

"The season is 38 games, then you have your final position. Our position will normally be seventh, I am happy with that."

  4. 'It was about taking the opportunity'published at 19:57 British Summer Time 6 May 2017

    Swansea 1-0 Everton

    Swansea City

Swansea boss Paul Clement on BBC Sport: "We knew the Hull result and it gave us a lift. It was the about taking the opportunity. I told the players to play with their hearts but also intelligently.

"We have conceded one goal in the last three games, a penalty that shouldn't have been given. It shows how good we've been.

On defender Alfie Mawson: "He put in a good performance, as did all the team defensively. We talk about defending collectively, about being compact and working for each other.

"We played a quality side who are in Europe next year. They had a fair few chances as well. When that final whistle went it was a good feeling."

South Wales is going to be rocking tonight.

Newport have pulled off a ridiculous feat and escaped relegation from League Two - despite being 11 points adrift of safety in March.

Instead, the Football League is waving goodbye to Hartlepool, who go down despite beating promoted Doncaster 2-1.

  6. 'One of my proudest moments'published at 19:52 British Summer Time 6 May 2017

    Swansea 1-0 Everton

    Swansea City

Swansea manager Paul Clement: on BT Sport "It is one of my proudest moments today. What a fantastic, gritty performance. It was so important we got that result today after what happened at Hull.

"We have hit some form both offensively and especially defensively. We have played against really good opposition and seven points from three games is a fantastic tally.

"It gave us a lift before the game knowing that result had gone in our favour, we knew if we did something special we could get out of the relegation zone.

    "We really defended well."

  8. 'It was not good enough'published at 19:49 British Summer Time 6 May 2017

    Swansea 1-0 Everton

    Everton

Everton boss Ronald Koeman: "The difference is one goal, we had maybe more ball possession, it was difficult to create open chances. It was not good enough.

"The final part, we had to be a little bit more aggressive in the box. The problem is in the last few weeks to create chances - we don't score in the last three games.

"In my opinion, seventh position is a good position and next Friday is important to give the fans a win they deserve."

Former Crystal Palace & Wales striker Ian Walsh at Liberty Stadium

Swansea have to take this momentum into next week - very important. But don't write off Sunderland, who won today and may be more relaxed now they've gone down.

I've said for some time that it will all come down to the West Brom game, a week on Sunday.

  10. 'I owe the fans and gaffer'published at 19:41 British Summer Time 6 May 2017

    Swansea 1-0 Everton

    Swansea City

Swansea defender Alfie Mawson speaking to BBC Sport: "We knew what we had to do, go out there and hope we can get a result regardless of Hull's.

"We were thinking 'please hold on', and Sunderland did us a favour, but we have to go there next week.

"The atmosphere was fantastic. That's why we're paying for 3,000 to come up next week. Through the trenches, they've been with us.

"Romelu Lukaku was a massive threat, but we contained Everton and a clean sheet was a massive plus. Fans just see it as a clean sheet, we see it as much more than that.

"I owe the fans and the gaffer after making a terrible mistake a couple of weeks ago."

    Swansea City 1-0 Everton

    BBC Radio Wales
Former Crystal Palace & Wales striker Ian Walsh at Liberty Stadium

A really important result here. Quite a nervy game but at the end of the day it wasn't about the performance, it was all about the three points.

And the celebrations when the final whistle went? Unbelievable.

  12. Postpublished at 19:39 British Summer Time 6 May 2017

Swansea were bottom when Paul Clement took over in January.

They've now taken seven points from their last three Premier League games after picking up just one in the six before that.

    Remarkable up-turn in form, really.

  13. 'We stood up at squeaky bum time'published at 19:37 British Summer Time 6 May 2017

    Swansea 1-0 Everton

    Swansea City

Swansea defender Alfie Mawson: "You can see what it meant to the staff, players and fans, it's another step in the right direction. We have to go again next week, which I'm sure we can do.

"When it comes to squeaky bum time it takes men to stand up and we did that.

    "It's mental the atmosphere."

    Swansea City 1-0 Everton

    BBC Radio Wales
Former Crystal Palace & Wales striker Ian Walsh at Liberty Stadium

Wonderful, wonderful performance form Swansea. Not the most free-flowing we've seen, but these are a vital three points and it will give the lads a big, big boost.

  19. Postpublished at 19:23 British Summer Time 6 May 2017

    Swansea 1-0 Everton

Swansea's win and Hull's defeat against Sunderland means the Swans are out of the bottom three for the first time since March.

If Middlesbrough lose on Monday against Chelsea, they're down.

But who is going to be third team to drop down to the Championship? It could be Hull, it could be Swansea, or it could be Crystal Palace who have been sucked right back in with two games to go.

This is going to go down to the wire.
