Those games, in our time, were massive. You always wanted to play in those games, it was massive for the fans and massive in both dressing rooms as well.

  2. 'Ozil & Sanchez are like overindulged children'published at 12:56 British Summer Time 7 May 2017

Arsenal v Manchester United (16:00 BST)

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal defender on MOTD 2 Extra

It would have been first v second a few years ago.

I'd like to see Danny Welbeck come in today for Arsenal. I'm interested in Mesut Ozil - will he work hard today? He doesn't look like he's really there. If we had a family and we had two children that have overindulged then that's like Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.

I'd like to see a bit of a reaction from the other players. While Ozil is here you have to perform. He's not kidding me. He's not giving everything in this team.

Title battles, trophy scraps, pizza fights....Arsenal against Manchester United has long been one of the most important battles in the English footballing calendar.

Not so much this season. It's fifth versus sixth with both clubs having fading hopes of a top-four finish...

Anfield is basking in glorious sunshine. It actually looks like end of season weather. I expect to see quite a few kids wearing full kits, including shinnies. That is when you know it is May.

But before we start diving head-first into Liverpool v Southampton chitter chatter there is also another game to look forward to later...

  5. Forest staying up?published at 12:47 British Summer Time 7 May 2017

    Championship final day

We know those three little words we mentioned? As it stands? Well, here is why they are so important.

Seconds after we told you things were looking grim for Nottingham Forest, they have gone and bloomin' scored! That means Forest would stay up with Blackburn going down. We're approaching half-time in the second tier.

  6. 'Forest demise is sad'published at 12:45 British Summer Time 7 May 2017

    Championship final day

Such a great club Nottingham Forest. How they managed to win two European Cups. To see the demise of the club is so sad.

  7. Forest going down?published at 12:44 British Summer Time 7 May 2017

    Championship final day

Not great news for Nottingham Forest fans. Their team is going down to League One as it stands. Three very important words there.

  8. 'Swansea handled the situation well'published at 12:37 British Summer Time 7 May 2017

    Swansea 1-0 Everton

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal defender on MOTD 2

I just like the way Swansea dealt with the occasion. It was like The Crucible - there was a hush at the Liberty Stadium. Everton came there with their flip-flops on.

Swansea are in pole position. It's easier to chase than to be hunted down.

  14. Spurs' title bid Hammeredpublished at 12:32 British Summer Time 7 May 2017

    Indeed we can Lynda.

The Hammers dealt a bitter blow to Tottenham's pursuit of Premier League leaders Chelsea as Manuel Lanzini's fierce finish earned them a 1-0 victory on Friday.

It has been a difficult season for Slavan Bilic, whose future is under threat if you believe the speculation.

Buit you could argue he has done well to steady the Hammers ship after having to carefully handle the acrimonious departure of star player Dimitri Payet, and the long-awaited move to the former Olympic Stadium.

While Manchester City are only third in the league table, boss Pep Guardiola is adamant they are the top team when it comes to their creative play - it is just their finishing that lets them down.

"We are the best team in the Premier League at creating clear, clear chances in front of goal - nobody can beat us at that,"  he says.

And the Mail on Sunday aren't impressed...
