Fabious: Enrique doing a Klopp, leaving Iniesta on the bench for Denis Suarez. Coaches never learn

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 77 mins

Malaga bring off their goalscorer Sandro to a great ovation. On comes veteran Brazilian striker Charles - from the Fred school of naming.

  3. Postpublished at 76 mins

Paco Alcacer finds Luis Suarez, who beats a couple of Malaga defenders, but keeper Carlos Kameni flies off his line to smother the ball.

Barcelona come forward and Paco Alcacer, short of confidence, tries to find Lionel Messi instead of shooting himself. But Messi can't get an effort in. Andres Iniesta tries to slide a pass through and fails.

It must be said Malaga deserve to lead.

Well... we have just seen a replay of that last chance, and Adalberto Penaranda was actually onside when he got the ball. So it should be 2-0 to Malaga.

  6. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 72 mins

A let-off for Barcelona. Malaga break and Adalberto Penaranda is in acres of space in the centre - genuinely nobody is within 10 yards of him. None of his team-mates spot him and by the time they find him, and he puts the ball in the net, he's offside. A real waste.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 70 mins

The first thing Malaga striker Adalberto Penaranda does is nudge Samuel Umtiti in the chest. Umtiti goes down holding his face. Yellow card.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 67 mins

Straight after that Neymar red card, Malaga made a change. Adalberto Penaranda, on loan from Watford, replaces Juanpi.

So now Barcelona have three strikers on the pitch again, after bringing on Paco Alcacer earlier.

  11. RED CARD FOR BARCApublished at 66 mins

Wow. Barcelona striker Neymar has been sent off. He goes in late on Diego Llorente, but it wasn't overly dangerous. It's enough for a second yellow card though and he's off.

He gives someone a sarcastic applause on his way off the pitch.

Malaga go close AGAIN. Juanpi, who has a name like a Pokemon, pings a shot over from the edge of the box.

Barcelona have a chance now but Neymar heads over Luis Suarez's cross. Suarez went round keeper Carlos Kameni, who stood tall so Suarez couldn't beat him with a shot.

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez is trying to be too clever. He steps over a cross when he could have shot himself, and Malaga get it away.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 61 mins

If in doubt, bring a fourth striker on. That's what Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has done here. Goal-shy summer signing Paco Alcacer replaces midfielder Andre Gomes, who hasn't had a good game.

  15. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 60 mins

Neymar does a needless pirouette in the box and hits the ball off the outside of the post from an impossible angle. It never looked like going in.

How have Malaga not made it 2-0? Barcelona are all over the place defensively. Malaga break from halfway and Sandro squares it to Juanpi, who shoots first time straight at keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen. He should have given the goalkeeper no chance.

  17. Postpublished at 54 mins

Ignacio Camacho brings down Lionel Messi with a rash sliding tackle. I think he's off the next bad foul he commits. He was booked in the first half.

Barcelona look slightly better than they did in the first half, they are putting together some passing moves. But at the same time, it would be hard not to be improved on their first-half showing.

  19. Postpublished at 51 mins

Lionel Messi is fouled by Ignacio Camacho and takes the free-kick himself but it's well over the bar. Poor.

  20. Postpublished at 48 mins

Juan Carlos is almost in for Malaga after stepping past Javier Mascherano but Samuel Umtiti slides it out for a corner.
