Isco rarely starts for Real Madrid despite his huge talent - but he gets his chance today and levels with a brilliant effort. The attacking midfielder gets the ball on the edge of the area, dances around three defenders with quick footwork and curls an effort into the top corner.
Isco
That didn't last long.
Relegation-threatened Sporting Gijon score a massive goal at both ends. Mikel Vesga plays a brilliant lofted pass over Real Madrid's back line and Duje Cop lets it drop over his shoulder before smashing home.
Duje Cop
Big.
Real Madrid should be 1-0 up as full-back Danilo whips in a great right-wing cross and Lucas Vazquez heads over the bar. The Spanish wideman should have done better there - he was free in the centre.
Chance for Sporting Gijon as Duje Cop's header drops for Carlos Carmona but as he's shooting, Nacho clears the ball over the bar. The referee thought Carmona got the last touch so gives a goal-kick.
Real Madrid have their first attack of the game but Lucas Vazquez's right-wing cross is headed clear by the defence.
Bright start for Sporting. Real defender Nacho will have to be careful. If he gets booked, he is banned for El Clasico. And they don't have many other options at centre-back, with Raphael Varane and Pepe injured.
We are under way.

Do you think Zinedine Zidane was right to put out a weaker team today? Or could it give Barcelona a foot back into the title race?

Sporting Gijon - five points adrift of safety - have only won one of the last 15 games against Real Madrid in La Liga - drawing twice and losing 12.
They won 1-0 at the Bernabeu in 2011.
Real Madrid have named a team with Tuesday's Champions League tie against Bayern Munich in mind. Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale are not in the matchday squad at all. Neither is first-choice keeper Keylor Navas.
Sporting Gijon: Cuellar, Lillo, Mere, Amorebieta, Babin, Isma Lopez, Vesga, Alvarez, Carmona, Moi Gomez, Cop. Subs: Marino, Canella, Ndi, Xavi Torres, Nacho Cases, Afif, Carlos Castro.
Real Madrid: Casilla, Danilo, Ramos, Nacho, Coentrao, Kovacic, Isco, Rodriguez, Asensio, Morata, Vazquez. Subs: Yanez, Tejero, Marcelo, Kroos, Casemiro, Modric, Mariano.
It's Real Madrid's title to lose.
Win seven of their remaining eight games and they are champions of Spain.
But there's still little room for error. Lose to Sporting Gijon this afternoon, and Barcelona could be top going into El Clasico if they beat Real Sociedad later on.
