Two other results to bring you from La Liga today. Fourth-placed Sevilla continued to lose ground on the teams above them, drawing 0-0 at Valencia, while Real Betis climbed a couple of places to 14th by beating Eibar 2-0.

Leganes gave Granada a chance today by losing 1-0 at home to Espanyol. Granada couldn't take it. They look doomed.

Tony Adams orders his players to salute the fans as the final whistle goes. A chastening start for the temporary boss. That was a game Granada had to win to boost their chances of survival. As it is, they are now seven points from safety with six games left.

Ezequiel Ponce on one last sprint down the right for Granada, is blocked as Sergio Alvarez advances from his line to block. Then Wakaso Mubarak, by some distance the home side's best player, hits a 30-yarder that bounces awkwardly in front of the keeper, as he dives to his left to gather.

Three minutes of time to add. I suspect Tony Adams will want to put this evening behind him and get back home to watch Line Of Duty.

And yet, in the closing minutes, Granada almost get a consolation. Hector Hernandez whizzes down the left and crosses low - Ezequiel Ponce diverts wide. Amusingly, Celta Vigo keeper Sergio Alvarez then makes an utter dog's dinner of the goal kick, slipping as he takes it and sending the ball dribbling about six yards. Because it fails to clear the penalty area, he gets another go. Ponce seems unhappy about this, gives the referee a bit too much grief, and is booked.

I may be proved wrong here. But on this evidence, Granada will be heading down to the second tier come the end of the season. A Celta Vigo side with one eye, possibly both, on the Europa League are on their way to a pretty comfortable victory.

Let's bring you up to date with all the substitutions. Claudio Beauvue is off for Celta Vigo, replaced by the Dane Pione Sisto. Tony Adams has made his final two changes, bringing on Chelsea loanee Jeremie Boga and Hector Hernandez for Andreas Pereira and Rene Krhin.

Sene's first contribution is to win another free-kick on the edge of the box in a central position, as he turns Gaston Silva, who clips him and is booked. Silva has the look of a man who has just been given a parking ticket. At least Granada survive this set-piece without the loss of another goal.

Another Celta Vigo free-kick as Wakaso Mubarak brings down Jozabed, who is immediately replaced by Josep Sene. Claude Beauvue takes the free-kick this time, and it sails over.

Granada are definitely playing better since I told that restaurant story. I think they've taken encouragement from my culinary hopelessness. Sverrir Ingi Ingason gets his head to a corner, it hits the hand of defender Facundo Roncaglia - though it's unintentional handball - and drops loose for Ruben Vezo to shoot towards the near post on the spin. And as I finish that long and unwanted diversion, things almost do get better for Granada as they hit the bar! Uche Agbo blasts one from 25 yards and it pings off the frame of the goal with Sergio Alvarez flailing.

The other point of my restaurant story is: Never let me make you soup.

The point of my restaurant story is this: However bad things might get for Tony Adams at Granada, however many people may laugh at that training video on social media, there's no way he can be as bad at his job as I was in that restaurant that night. A small consolation, perhaps, but a consolation all the same.

Much better from Granada. Andreas Pereira connects sweetly with a low cut-back and drills a 20-yard shot straight at the goalkeeper.

So, my restaurant tale: At the end of the night, after goodness knows how many complaints, the restaurant decided to let me go. A few weeks later, the same restaurant advertised for staff in the local paper. And at the bottom of the advert, in very large font, was the phrase: 'Previous experience essential.' And I thought: "That's because of me, isn't it?"
