It's so tight at the bottom end of the table. If County lose another goal, they will drop a place to ninth, with Hamilton nudging up above them.

Kieran Tierney's fierce drive was perfect but Scott Fox appeared to be caught out slightly and didn't react. Perhaps he didn't expect it or was slightly out of position.

The problem for County is whether to open up and go for an equaliser with the risk of being punished, or to stay in the game as long as possible and hope for a break.

It's a tricky one as goal difference might also be important as the season concludes.

Scott Sinclair hits the accelerator as he dashes past a couple of opponents and is able to turn the ball across goal from the right but goalkeeper Scott Fox does well to smother the danger.

"I’ve got to look at Scott Fox. He didn’t even dive – that tells me he was unsighted because a goalkeeper of his ability you would expect to at least go for the shot.

"It’s interesting, when Kieran Tierney steps forward nobody picks him up, because everybody else has got their duty, everybody else is watching their own man.

"All of a sudden, he’s got acres of space, and all he does is take a touch on that left-hand side and drill that ball through a number of bodies."

The goal hasn't changed the pattern of play as Celtic continue to hog the ball and County defend in numbers on the edge of their own penalty box.

A wee chance for the hosts as the ball breaks to Tim Chow inside the penalty area but it bounces high and the County midfielder can't catch his shot properly, making it a comfortable save for Craig Gordon.

A lot of grappling and jostling as Celtic win another corner, referee Don Robertson has a word, then they all start again. The Staggies repel the set-piece. 

Moussa Dembele is making his first start in almost a month after a spell on the sidelines. The Celtic striker has been well shackled so far and hasn't had a chance to add to his 32-goal tally.

County win a corner on a rare foray forward but it comes to nothing as Stuart Armstrong keeps a cool head in his own box to mop up.

Liam Boyce was given a big old shove as he tried to crowd out Celtic keeper Craig Gordon and appeals forlornly as he lands in a heap inside the six yard box.

The pattern is clear. Celtic are going to have a lot of the ball with County believing their best hope is to stay solid and stick close to the individual in front of them.

It's working at this stage as Scott Fox hasn't really been troubled. The concentration levels will have to stay at their peak or Celtic will get in.

Jim McIntyre will hope if a chance comes, Liam Boyce is on the end of it.

Celtic continue to probe patiently for an opening, while Ross County are working hard to close down and harry. 

Kieran Tierney has a shot from 25 yards and it bounces in front of Scott Fox, making it slightly awkward for the home keeper, who gathers at the second attempt.

The hosts have barely had a touch as they sit back and try to absorb wave after wave of Celtic attacks.

Scott Fox is yet to be tested but surely County need to do more than simply pack their defence.
