First corner of the day as Celtic's Stuart Armstrong finds Callum McGregor sneaking in at the edge of the box but the the midfielder's volley arcs high into the air and drops nowhere near the goal.

    Ross County 0-0 Celtic

Tom Rogic, making his first start of 2017 after a ankle problem, strides forward and opts to have a go from distance. Not one of his best efforts, with the ball flying high and wide.

Jim O'Brien steams into a challenge on Scott Sinclair in the middle of the park. Firm but fair in my book but the ref blows up for foul.

Scott Sinclair looks like he's taking a central role today as he sends James Forrest scampering down the right flank. The winger's cross is easily gathered by Ross County goalkeeper Scott Fox.

Slight tweak in formation for Celtic it seems it's Tom Rogic and Scott Sinclair sitting in behind Moussa Dembele. The visitors possess threat all over the pitch.

County can't afford to consider this a feee game as most sides do with the expectation they'll probably struggle to win.

Jim McIntyre's team would greatly benefit from getting something as they remain in a relegation fight.

  7. 'McIntyre hopes to keep it tight'published at 12:27 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Ross County v Celtic (12:30)

    Barry Wilson
    BBC Scotland at Victoria Park

"Jim McIntyre's obviously hoping to keep it tight at the back for as long as possible and then try and go for it later in the game.

"The game prior to this was 4-0 to Celtic, but it was 1-0 for a long period and then Ross County pressed the gamble button and got picked off with three late goals. He’s obviously been very wary of that with his line-up."

  8. County 'must take chances'published at 12:26 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Ross County v Celtic (12:30)

Ross County manager Jim McIntyre talking to BBC Sportsound:

"We go into every game aiming to win. We will need to have a disciplined approach today, Celtic like to cut through the middle so we think an extra player in there can work for us. The four in front will be important too because we need a balance and we need to support Liam Boyce up front.

"You need to start well in these games and you need to take your chances because Celtic don't give too many away."

  9. 'Scott Sinclair is the man right now'published at 12:23 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Ross County v Celtic (12:30)

    Pat Bonner
    BBC Scotland at Victoria Park

"Moussa Dembele’s back in the team and looked very sharp last week when he came on, so his lay-off has probably helped him, and he’ll be hungry to go again. Tom Rogic takes another important step in his recovery back from injury to play a whole game.

"But Scott Sinclair is the man – he’s the guy on-form, scoring goals, playing a little bit further inside the park. And he’s been given that role almost to start further inside, support and run beyond Dembele at times.

"It’s a very attack-minded team – if Ross County get anything out of this it’ll be a real bonus, but they have to come away with their confidence intact for the remaining five league games."

Celtic's last visit to Dingwall ended in a 4-0 win but the scoreline doesn't really do County justice since they were well in the game until conceding three in the final seven minutes.

County then lost 2-0 at Celtic Park in late December.

Of course, County can draw on a more recent success over Celtic, having won last season's League Cup semi-final before going on to lift the club's first major piece of silverware.

Celtic scored early but then had Efe Ambrose sent off after 13 minutes, with Martin Woods, Paul Quinn and Alex Schalk on target for the Highlanders at Hampden.

  12. Celtic players 'fighting for places'published at 12:18 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Ross County v Celtic (12:30)

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers talking to BBC Sportsound:

"We've had to make some changes with some players nursing little niggles and others needing game time.

"Of course, we're looking to next weekend and everyone will want to fight for a place. We want to have as many players as possible fit to face Rangers [in the Scottish Cup semi final].

"I think this will be a very tough game. I love coming here, they have built a fantastic little club."

County's last league win over Celtic came in May 2013, with Steffen Wohlfarth scoring a stoppage-time goal in a 3-2 success.

Der Wolf Man only lasted a season in Scotland but will be fondly remembered by locals for that late header.

Since then Celtic are unbeaten in the last 13 top flight encounters (9W 4D).

Alan Stewart: Saints pies are fab except you get 3rd degree burns off them.

Gordon Senior: Was Killie until they changed the recipe the new ones are bang average! St Johnstone and Ross County for me. That haggis pie makes the journey worth it!

What do we make of the line ups? Is that three at the back for Celtic, with full-back Kieran Tierney in a more central role?

It looks like a back five for the home side, with three regular full-backs involved.

The home side were the biggest losers when the post-split fixtures were announced since they will end up playing 20 games away and 18 at home.

Funny how it never happens to the "bigger" teams.

It might not be such a big deal since the Staggies' 32 points have been evenly spread, with 50% picked up on the road.

  17. Record breakers?published at 12:00 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Ross County v Celtic (12:30)

Celtic wrapped up the title a fortnight ago but there is still plenty for Brendan Rodgers' men to play for.

Can they remain unbeaten over the entire campaign?

The champions are going for their 30th league win, with a new top flight record tally in sight.

The best is 103 points, set by Celtic in 2001-02, Martin O'Neill's second season in charge.

Celtic are currently on 90, with 18 more to play for.

Ross County make two changes from last week's 2-1 win over Dundee, which was just their second league success of 2017.

Reghan Tumilty makes his first league start and Ryan Dow comes into midfield. Craig Curran drops to the bench and Martin Woods is injured.

They hosts start the day in eighth place, a mere two points above the play-off spot.
