  3. Delight for the Donspublished at 14:25

    Hibernian 2-3 Aberdeen

Aberdeen scorer Ryan Christie: "I'm obviously delighted. It was our biggest game of the year. We didn't play our best but we are through to the final and that's what matters. Adam Rooney told me to have a wee look at the goalkeeper and maybe try a shot so he will claim an assist. I'm delighted I've helped Aberdeen reach the final."

Aberdeen matchwinner Jonny Hayes: "The goal didn't give Hibs a chance to come back. The goal came at a good time for us. We had to weather the storm a bit in the second half. Hibs are on of the best teams in the country. We knew it was going to be difficult, we didn't underestimate them. We showed character and got a lucky winner. Whoever comes through that game tomorrow, it's going to be a tough game (in the final)."

  12. Rooney was always confidentpublished at 14:14

    Hibernian 2-3 Aberdeen

Aberdeen striker Adam Rooney: “It was a difficult game. We got off to a great start but we knew they would come back at us. Hibs are a good side.

“We’ve scored a lot of late goals this season and we’ve always got someone who can come up with one.”

  13. Aberdeen deserved winners?published at 14:12

    Hibernian 2-3 Aberdeen

"Firstly, what a satisfying contest. Huge credit to both sides for serving up a semi-final with moments of quality, goals, gaffes and intriguing tactical changes. Darren McGregor will have better days, his opening mistake gifting Rooney the first goal and his unfortunate deflection proving decisive at the end.

"That third Aberdeen goal was a massive stroke of luck. The game was on a knife-edge at this point, but Derek McInnes will simply be pleased his side found a way on the big game occasion to win."

  20. 'A sore one to take'published at 90 mins

    Hibernian 2-3 Aberdeen

Former Hibs defender Craig Paterson: "That is such a sore one to take. If it's a quality goal you can live that that. It's not only the block, it's the spin. Originally I thought it was going wide but it was the spin that took it just inside. Jonny Hayes was given too much time to turn, Hibs didn't close him down. Yes, there may have been a bit of luck about it but if you keep taking shots you'll get lucky one of these times."
