  2. 'A really important point'published at 17:12 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    Southampton 0-0 Hull

    Hull City

Hull boss Marco Silva: "It is a really important point to us.

"We knew before it would be really difficult for us but we had a very good performance, the first half was really very good.

"We controlled the game, had good possession, good chances.

"I think we deserve the point, of course I want more but it is a very important point for us because it helped us to change our away form.

"We have analysed the games and changed some things, our balance, organisation and focus is very important – and this afternoon I think we achieved all these things.

"There is one more final to us, we play always with risk and big pressure – for me it is normal and I want to players to get used to it and enjoy it."

  3. 'Sunderland lack identity'published at 17:11 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    Sunderland 0-1 Bournemouth

    Jason Roberts
Former West Brom striker on Final Score

Those Sunderland fans are seeing a team and a club that I think has lacked leadership from the boardroom.

That's why they have skipped from manager to manager with no real plan or identity.

Maybe they need to go down, refocus, bring in some young hungry players and give a new "project" to the Premier League because Sunderland are a huge club and if they come back up next season, they will be a club many will fear.

  4. 'We need to be more clinical'published at 17:09 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    Stoke 0-0 West Ham

    Stoke City

    Stoke City boss Mark Hughes:

"It was a difficult game for us in terms of being able to break down West Ham. We needed to be a little bit more clinical in terms of that final ball, but in terms of effort and trying to affect the game, we were the team that was trying to win it.

"As it was, they're more happy with the result than we are. For them it's a good away point. We had some good moments and just needed a big toe to get on the end of one of those.

"In fairness Jack Butland made a couple of good saves. It's good to have him back and he looks good at the minute I have to say."

At the bottom of the Championship one of Blackburn, Birmingham and Nottingham Forest will be relegated on the last day of the season.

  6. 'It was a gutsy performance'published at 17:06 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    West Brom 0-1 Leicester

    Leicester City

    Leicester manager Craig Shakespeare:

"I haven't seen any other results yet but I am just pleased with our performance today.

"We showed different aspects today - it was a gutsy performance.

"I want Jamie Vardy to finish on a high. He's scored quite a few of late and I want that to continue.

"It will be a difficult end to the season and we have to try and win every game we can."

  8. 'They would not have deserved to win'published at 17:03 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    Southampton 0-0 Hull

    Hull City

Hull boss Marco Silva: "It's a really important moment [the penalty save]. If they had scored they would not deserve it.

"Let's not just talk about the last minute. We showed very good organisation, very good football. We controlled the first half.

"It is a good result, you want more but it's a good point. We need to change our away form and this will give us more confidence."

  9. 'I felt really good just being out there again'published at 16:59 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    Stoke 0-0 West Ham

    Stoke City

    Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland:

"Any draw would probably have been fair there. We had a few chances but didn’t take them unfortunately but it was an exciting 0-0 for the fans.

"I felt really good just being out there again. I’m pleased to be able to contribute and keep a clean sheet today.

"The fans have been incredible throughout the last 13 months and supported me. It's been tough personally and I thoroughly enjoyed the really good reception today."

[On saving Andre Ayew's overhead kick] "It was a nice strike and I saw it all the way and it was a nice height. The only way you can get match-fit is playing games. Still very much pick it up as you go so to get a couple of games now I feel really good."

Robbie Edwards: The worst feeling I've ever felt watching football. It's been coming for a while but that doesn't mean it don't hurt.

  11. Postpublished at 16:58 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    Sunderland 0-1 Bournemouth

It's an age-old cliche that 40 points is the mark for safety in the Premier League.

Sunderland have just 21. A long, long way away from being good enough.

Nick Hughes: Moyes was stitched-up by the owners and board at Sunderland. They've been a mess for a long time like Villa. It was inevitable.

Scott Wilcox: Sunderland's problem is they have little quality bar Defoe and Pickford, plus have rarely put in the heart and effort.

Matthew Hobbs: Sunderland are relegated - 2 points from last 10 games, 9 winless games at home, failed to score in 18 PL matches. Says it all.

    Sunderland 0-1 Bournemouth

    Garth Crooks
Former Spurs striker on Final Score

Josh King has put Sunderland fans out of their misery. It was only a matter of time to be honest.

What they have to do now is look forward and try to keep that side together.

If he can he will bring that side back up at the first time of asking. It's a big "if" but it's possible.

  15. 'Happy with the point'published at 16:55 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    Southampton 0-0 Hull

    Hull City

Hull defender Harry Maguire: "The number of penalties we have conceded this season is frightening but it's a great save.

"Ever since Marco Silva came in our performances have been great. It was a good game for a 0-0 and we are happy with a point."

Tadic doesn't strike it well at all and that's what gives the keeper Jakupovic the chance to save it.

He was clumsy in the box and that gives the referee the chance to give the penalty.
