    Bristol City 0-1 Birmingham

Paul Thompson: We're doing what we need to do to survive. Never been more nervous being a Blackburn fan! Come on Rovers, we can do this!!

Gabe Roberts: Blackburn have been superb if only they could've done this four games ago.

Kyle Utterson: Have to feel for Blackburn. They have been brilliant and are 2-0 up yet as it stands it isn't enough. Great drama though.

Blackburn are doing the business but they're going down as it stands.

The players are heading back out.

Kick-off for the second half is coming up next.

  8. The battle for the play-offspublished at 13:01 British Summer Time 7 May 2017

Except that it's not really that much of a battle.

Reading, Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield have already secured their top-six spots, and Fulham should join them today.

Only a Fulham loss to Wednesday and a Leeds win at Wigan, along with a 13-goal swing, would see the London club fall out of the play-off places.

Leeds trail at Wigan, while it's 1-1 at Hillsborough.

  9. Blackburn heading down as it standspublished at 12:58 British Summer Time 7 May 2017

Brentford 0-2 Blackburn; Bristol City 0-1 Birmingham; Forest 1-0 Ipswich

So, Blackburn took an early two-goal lead at Brentford to move out of the relegation zone as things stood.

Then Birmingham gave themselves a tiny bit of temporary breathing space as they took a vital lead at Bristol City.

But Nottingham Forest - who had almost conceded three times - then took the lead against Ipswich with a Britt Assombalonga penalty.

So Blackburn are going down as it stands, but only on goals scored!

One goal at any of the three grounds would change everything.

  10. Newcastle set for Championship titlepublished at 12:56 British Summer Time 7 May 2017

Aston Villa 0-0 Brighton; Newcastle 1-0 Barnsley

No wonder Rafael Benitez is smiling, his side are title winners as it stands.

The Magpies took the lead through a lovely finish from Ayoze Perez.

Meanwhile, Brighton are making heavy work of their trip to Aston Villa and could have been behind but for a bad miss from Henri Lansbury.

Blackburn going down as it stands

    Steve Claridge
Ex-Leicester striker at the City Ground, BBC Radio 5 live

You need a bit of luck on days like this. It's all about the result.

It's not a decent Forest performance but they're ahead. Have they deserved it? Probably not. But it's all about results.

  13. RELEGATION BATTLE HALF-TIMESpublished at 12:50 British Summer Time 7 May 2017

Blackburn, Forest and Birmingham all lead

The half-time whistles have gone at Griffin Park, the City Ground and Ashton Gate.

It's mighty tight at the bottom. They're all winning.

Blackburn and Birmingham have both had chances to be further ahead.

  14. Postpublished at 12:47 British Summer Time 7 May 2017

    Aston Villa 0-0 Brighton

Aston Villa are forced into a change, with Scott Hogan going off for teenager Keinan Davis.

Hogan has endured a tough start to his Villa career.

Home midfielder Conor Hourihane draws a fine save from David Stockdale.

  15. Postpublished at 12:47 British Summer Time 7 May 2017

    Bristol City 0-1 Birmingham

That's right, with both their relegation rivals now winning, Birmingham know that if they concede a goal themselves, they would drop into the bottom three...

They're still ahead at Ashton Gate with half-time approaching. Three minutes of stoppage time to come.

  16. As it standspublished at 12:46 British Summer Time 7 May 2017

So now Blackburn drop into the bottom three, but it's tight.

A Blackburn goal would send Forest back into the drop zone.

If Birmingham concede at Bristol City, they'll be heading down.

    My word, it's close.

    Newcastle 1-0 Barnsley

Newcastle still lead against Barnsley but the visitors have just enjoyed a little spell of pressure.

A Tykes equaliser would hand the title back to Brighton.
