Forest almost go behind! It's inches away!

Reds keeper Jordan Smith gets a vital fingertip on Dominic Samuel's deflected shot to guide it onto the crossbar and it bounces back out, off the frame of the goal.

A potential turning point for Forest?

"In a hour's time, we'll see how pivotal that moment was," says BBC Radio 5 live summariser Steve Claridge.

  2. CLOSE!published at 12:38 British Summer Time 7 May 2017

    Bristol City 0-1 Birmingham

Birmingham almost double their lead, going close twice in quick succession.

But Fabian Giefer saves from Blues goal scorer Che Adams before the former Sheffield United forward is denied a simple tap-in on the line by a last-ditch Bristol City clearance.

A second goal for Harry Redknapp's side would really ease their nerves...

    Aston Villa 0-0 Brighton

Former Aston Villa man Steve Sidwell guides an effort just over the bar.

Just one goal from Sidwell so far this season. Admittedly it was an effort from the halfway line that saw him win goal of the season.

  4. CLOSE!published at 12:35 British Summer Time 7 May 2017

    Nottingham Forest 0-0 Ipswich

Chance for Forest! But Eric Lichaj clips the ball over the bar as he meets a left-wing cross in the middle.

  5. Vote resultspublished at 12:34 British Summer Time 7 May 2017

Which Championship club will be relegated on Sunday?

Thanks for taking part in our vote today.

60% of those who voted believe Blackburn will be relegated from the Championship today, with Nottingham Forest on 24% and Birmingham on 16%.

The vote of course concluded before Tony Mowbray's men went 2-0 up at Griffin Park.

These Rovers fans at Griffin Park will hope the majority of our voters are wrong, and as it stands they will be. Forest will be playing in League One next season if things stay like this.

    Nottingham Forest 0-0 Ipswich

Forest have been in the Championship for nine seasons.

If they're going to make that 10, it looks like they'll have to win this afternoon.

But they - arguably understandably - seem very nervous so far against an Ipswich side who have come to play.

  7. Goalkeeper Ward sent off for Huddersfieldpublished at 12:32 British Summer Time 7 May 2017

    Huddersfield 0-2 Cardiff

Potentially a big moment at Huddersfield, as the Terriers have had goalkeeper Danny Ward sent off. He'll now be suspended for the first leg of their Championship play-off semi-final.

Cardiff lead 2-0 with goals from Kenneth Zohore and Joe Bennett.

You can hear a pin drop. That's how poor Forest have been and how little the team have given the crowd.

Honestly, who saw this first-half scoreline coming? Anyone?

Blackburn have been determined, fearless and clinical.

In fact, if they were to get one more goal, Nottingham Forest would then need to win by more than one goal to finish above Rovers in the table.

  10. Postpublished at 12:28 British Summer Time 7 May 2017

    Aston Villa 0-0 Brighton

So unless Brighton can find a goal they will be finishing second.

They've weathered a bit of Aston Villa pressure but are yet to really create anything major of their own.

    Bristol City 0-1 Birmingham

Birmingham go close to a second goal at Ashton Gate but Ryan Shotton hits the side netting from close range.

This is the situation at the bottom. Blues are up to the heady heights of 19th now that they're ahead at Bristol City.

    Aston Villa should lead!

Midfielder Henri Lansbury is played in by a poor header by a Brighton defender but he heads wide from no more than four yards out.

  17. goal

Delight for Rovers and Bluespublished at 12:20 British Summer Time 7 May 2017

Brentford 0-2 Blackburn; Bristol City 0-1 Birmingham

A terrible two minutes for Nottingham Forest fans!

First Danny Guthrie double's Blackburns lead with a shot that Bees keeper Daniel Bentley probably should have saved. Rovers are on fire!

Then moments later, Birmingham make their good start count for something, as Che Adams races onto Lucas Jutkiewicz's ball and slots past the keeper. Delirium in the away end at Ashton Gate!
