    West Brom 0-0 Chelsea

You don't see Eden Hazard defending like that very often - the ground he made up to shut down that West Brom counter was superb. James McClean was the man who played a bad pass under pressure from the flying Belgian.

West Brom have already resorted to a back six.

Alonso is asking for handball. It does hit Brunt's hand, Chelsea are in their rights to ask for that.

I have seen them given but I think the referee has probably made the right decision.

    West Brom 0-0 Chelsea

Pedro, who was so poor at times last season, has been brilliant of late and he spins his man and gets to the byeline before flashing in a cross which hits Chris Brunt on the arm. Down by his side, twisting away from the ball - it would have been harsh.

But it could have been given.

West Brom then have a good counter which comes to nothing in the end.

Antonio Conte is applauding his team on the touchline and rightly so.

The way they are working the ball from side to side is making West Brom work very hard. It is really good stuff from Chelsea.

Chelsea are finding their stride now. Patient possession, but with a purpose, as they move the ball across the 18-yard line until Pedro fires over the top.

    Poor finish really.

"Tottenham Hotspur - It's Happened Again" is the chant from thousands of Chelsea fans behind Thibaut Courtois' goal - a painful reminder of another Premier League title challenge that came to nothing.

Nothing to be ashamed of in Tottenham's season, though.

Chelsea win a free-kick out wide, the delivery is good and deep but Gary Cahill can only help the ball into the side-netting from pretty much on the dead-ball line.

A player for the future, Tom Davies, drives into a space in midfield and keeps on going. The Everton youngster runs into space, gets the ball on his left foot some 20 yards out and flashes in a shot which Heurelho Gomes has to push away.

It is unbelievable the impact Fabregas has on the confidence of the other Chelsea players.

    West Brom 0-0 Chelsea

Chelsea now starting to get some possession after that hectic start. Cesc Fabregas gets his head up and clips a lovely pass, 50 yards+ over the top and into the run of Pedro.

The ball is dropping over his shoulder, he tries to loft the ball over Ben Foster but can't execute a very difficult skill and the chance is gone.

What a pass! Cesc on fire.

It is interesting how West Brom have started. They have started on the front foot and made Thibaut Courtois kick long.

    It is positive.

A very direct and strong start from West Brom, not giving Chelsea any time on the ball at all.

Great start from West Brom, they get it into the area straight away, Salomon Rondon climbs all over David Luiz to win a header, from 15 yards out, it's looping in until Thibaut Courtois pops it over the top!

The Chelsea system has saved Alonso defensively, I don't think he is that solid.

But the system gives him freedom going forward and his quality on the ball has been immense with goals and his delivery providing a different dimension.

I also think Azpilicueta has been one of Chelsea's best players this season, he is one of their unsung heroes.

A bit of Watford pressure ends with Troy Deeney hammering a volley across goal but Seb Prodl can't steer it home. The rain still falls heavily.
