Tom McCarron: Hull, the city of culture and relegation

David Simpson: Hull have done well to avoid relegation for this long considering their squad status: but not PL quality.

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Hull City

Wilfried Zaha puts Eldin Jakupovic under pressure but the Hull goalkeeper holds his nerve to clear.

At the other end. Harry Maguire twists and turns as he makes his way into the box, but his good work is undone as the ball runs out of play.

It must be pretty difficult to see out there. The sun is beating down.

Jason Puncheon whips in the corner and it finds James Tomkins at the far post, and his header flashes across the goal.

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Hull City

So remember - Hull need to win today to stave off relegation for the time being. Crystal Palace just need a point.

The hosts earns a free-kick mid-way inside Hull's half. It bounces, it bounces again and comes off Andrea Ranocchia for a Palace corner.

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Hull City

Sam Clucas, from outside the area, takes aim but he's off-balance and his effort rolls into the palms of Wayne Hennessey.

And then Harry Maguire fires well over the bar.

Hull are going for it, at least.

A disaster for Hull and for Ranocchia! For Zaha it was just about keeping his composure and he did...

This stadium has erupted and Big Sam has his arms in the air. A huge start for Crystal Palace!

GOAL - Crystal Palace 1-0 Hull Citypublished at 2 mins

    Wilfried Zaha

    BIG.

A horrible, horrible mistake from Andrea Ranocchia. The Hull defender fails to clear a Palace break - he kicks the air instead of the ball - and Wilfried Zaha pounces and slots home with ease.

Two minutes and 13 seconds gone. Hull have it all to do.

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Hull City

Hull earn a free-kick early doors, about 35-yards out.

Kamil Grosicki floats it in but it's cleared by Palace striker Christian Benteke.

Sounds like a great atmosphere at Selhurst Park.

The players are lining up in the tunnel. Hull City captain Michael Dawson gives all his team-mates a pat on the back as he comes down.

Palace captain Jason Puncheon, meanwhile, has got his hands full with his two little kiddies, who are mascots today.

Crystal Palace v Hull City (12:00 BST)

Let's not beat about the bush - it's been a tough season for Hull.

They were promoted under Steve Bruce's rule, but started the campaign with Mike Phelan in charge - and only had 13 players.

They got off to a surprisingly good start, winning their first two matches, but then it all went wrong.

The Tigers have been in the relegation zone since October and although their form has improved since Marco Silva took over in January, they look the most likely to go down.

There's so much riding on it. It's about you handle the pressure. Everyone wants to be in the Premier League party.

Both Paul Clement and Marco Silva have done well to keep themselves in this race.

Crystal Palace v Hull City (12:00 BST)

    • Crystal Palace won their first two Premier League games against Hull City but are winless in their subsequent three meetings (D1, L2).
    • The Tigers won 2-0 at Selhurst Park in April 2015 but that is their only victory away to Palace in 12 attempts spanning 32 years (D5, L6).

As we are saying goodbye to White Hart Lane today, we'd like to know your favourite away ground and why?

A personal favourite of mine is Bristol Rovers. A proper old-school terrace, a birds-eye view across the city, and that beautiful smell of pasties wafting over.

Tottenham v Manchester United (16:30 BST)

Urgh, moving house is such a chore. All that heavy lifting, scrubbing skirting boards and trying to work out where you packed the corkscrew.

It's always emotional, too, when you have to say goodbye to the old place you know and love so well.

Today's the day Tottenham say their final farewell to White Hart Lane - their home for 118 years.

Their fancy new digs across the road aren't ready yet, so they've found some temporary accommodation at Wembley. Not bad, eh?

West Ham v Liverpool (14:15 BST)

How's your nerves, Liverpool fans? The battle for the Champions League places is intense.

The Reds haven't been out of the top four since February but they've dropped points in two of their last three matches, while fifth place Arsenal have won three in a row.

The Gunners are now only a point behind Liverpool on 69 after their 4-1 win over Stoke on Saturday, and they have the same goal difference.

  20. Are Crystal Palace already on the beach?published at 11:19 British Summer Time 14 May 2017

Crystal Palace v Hull City (12:00 BST)

    Mark Lawrenson
Former Liverpool defender on Football Focus

I'd be surprised, with Sam Allardyce in charge. He's been there before. At the moment they look like they're going to conceded. But they only need a point against Hull.

He shouldn't need to bang their heads together before hand. You talk to the players and leave them to their own thoughts. the most important thing is - have you got the plan right? If not, you've got 15 mins to do it at half-time.
