Fine chances for both sides early in this second half. Celtic have some belief back but look fragile at the back. Aberdeen still pressing well.

It all came from Scott Brown's poor pass to McGregor. It's a massive opportunity. No team has created as many chances against Celtic this season.

What about the incident that led to Kieran Tierney going off with a fat lip and bleeding gums?

BBC pundits Steven Thompson and Tom English think Jayden Stockley was a bit naughty, while Pat Bonner and Mark McGhee are giving the Aberdeen striker the benefit of the doubt.

It’s 1-1 and Aberdeen are right in this game. They go in much the happier team. Aberdeen have put a game-plan in place that shows they are capable of getting the victory. The only question is whether they can do it for 90 minutes. Aberdeen have set the tone in that first half. There is no doubt this is the most uncomfortable Celtic have looked this season.

On balance of play the happier manager has to be Derek McInnes. His tactics are absolutely perfect. Celtic haven’t been allowed to play and are having to kick it long. It’s been Aberdeen’s first half.

I think it's been a sensational game of football. Aberdeen have turned up and Celtic are being hassled and hurried. They've been drawn into a football war and it is very difficult to call

The giant new screens at the national stadium read 1-1 at the break but Aberdeen will be the side feeling better about themselves. Celtic have struggled, not by going behind, but by the enforced change in shape due to the Tierney injury. The assurance he gives them at the back and the width and skill going forward has clearly been missing since he went off. Aberdeen will never have a better chance. A very intriguing second half awaits.

  19. HALF-TIME Celtic 1-1 Aberdeenpublished at 15:56 British Summer Time 27 May 2017

Aberdeen deserve great credit for their aggressive pressing and are giving Celtic a torrid time of it.

Brendan Rodgers' side are lacking their usual poise in possession but, despite being under par, they should really be ahead after that injury time miss from Scott Sinclair.

    What a miss!

Aberdeen are pinned back defending their penalty box and Leigh Griffiths again finds plenty of room out on the left. The Celtic striker fizzes in a marvelous low cross and Scott Sinclair runs on to it inside the six yard box only to somehow fire over the top.
