The Danes have not been full of goals up to this point and are going to face a really stern test tonight against Germany. All the pressure is on the Germans though and the weather could prevent them getting their normal passing game going. That could benefit Denmark.

    Did we laugh? Yes. Heartily.

She's fine, by the way. She gave the crowd a little bow and was full of smiles (and rain water).

    Germany v Denmark (20:00 BST)

Germany have been European champions for 22 years. Yes, 22. They've won six consecutive titles - the first of which came in 1989.

Their record in this tournament stands at 89 wins from 115 matches, losing seven and drawing 19.

Denmark, meanwhile, have been semi-finalists on five occasions and made it to the last four in 2013, where they lost to Norway on penalties.

The head-to-head between these two is fairly surprising: Denmark have won three and drawn one of their last six meetings.

  18. Sampson sparks offpublished at 19:43 British Summer Time 29 July 2017

England v France (Sunday, 19:45 BST)

We have some fighting talk from England's manager, as they prepare for Sunday's quarter-final meeting with France.

Mark Sampson says his side "do not need to be at our very best" to end a 43-year wait to beat Les Bleues.

The Lionesses have lost to the French in their past three major tournaments and have failed to beat them in five games since Sampson took over in 2013.

But he said: "We want to be at our very best but the nice feeling is we don't need to be to win on Sunday.

"If we are then there's no question in my mind that we'll win comfortably."

    Feisty.
