Ah. But Palace won't get back into the match if they continue to be sloppy at the back.

Scott Dann dillies and then dallies, giving away the ball inside his own half as Steve Mounie races clear.

But Timothy Fosu-Mensah matches him for speed, perfectly executing a sliding tackle to deny the Benin international.

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Huddersfield

Much, much better from Palace since the break. They are offering more threat going forward, getting the ball out wide and looking to attack the flanks.

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 60 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Huddersfield

Town's on-loan midfielder Kacey Palmer goes into the book after nobbling fellow Chelsea man Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Chelsea probably could have done with these two judging by the goings on at Stamford Bridge...

  4. Postpublished at 58 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Huddersfield

Jonas Lossl is proving to be a one-man wall. Wilfried Zaha tricks his way into the Huddersfield box on the left, the Danish keeper standing up to block with his legs.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 57 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Huddersfield

Time to shore things up in midfield for Huddersfield. On comes summer arrival Danny Williams - who signed on a free from Reading - and off goes marauding right-back Tommy Smith.

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 56 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Huddersfield

Town keeper Jonas Lossl has just opened the top drawer to deny Palace. The Dane, on a season-long loan from Mainz, flings himself to his right to push clear Christian Benteke's pounding header with his fingertips.

Benteke climbed highest to meet Patrick van Aanholt's corner.

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Huddersfield

Wilf Zaha's eyes light up as he sees open space in front of him, only for Chris Lowe to appear out of nowhere to slide clear for a corner....

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Huddersfield

The Palace fans find their voices as they try to drum up some encouragement for their side. Maybe they have been buoyed by that last attack. Or maybe they're just singing because the sun has come out.

  9. Postpublished at 50 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Huddersfield

Better from Palace. But let's be frank... it couldn't have been much worse. Andros Townsend weaves into space on the right, drilling low into the six-yard box. Here's Christian Benteke... the £25m striker completely fresh airs it.

  10. Postpublished at 48 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Huddersfield

Another minute, another Huddersfield chance. Chris Lowe shoots from distance (as one Palace player inexplicably ducks) to force Wayne Hennessey into a smart stop. Steve Mounie bounds up... but blazes over.

  11. Postpublished at 46 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Huddersfield

Palace clearly didn't get a rocket from Frank de Boer at the break. They are still half asleep. Elias Kachunga almost gets round the back of the Palace defence before Jairo Riedewald recovers.

Desperate times call for half-time measures. Andros Townsend does come on for Palace as Luka Milivojevic is hooked.

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Huddersfield

More possession, more territory... two fewer goals.

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Huddersfield

Raucous cheers from the Huddersfield end slightly drowned out some boos from the home fans at the end of that engrossing first-half.

Frank de Boer was deep in convo with substitute Andros Townsend as they walked towards the tunnel. Perhaps we will be seeing him after the brak.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:50 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Huddersfield

Simply brilliant from Huddersfield. Easy this Premier League lark isn't it? Although Frank de Boer might disagree...

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Huddersfield

Palace need a goal before the break. They aren't going to get it. Christian Benteke and Wilfried Zaha combine, only for a stumbling Zaha to see his shot blocked.

And Patrick van Aanholt fails to hit the first man with his corner. Dock him a week's wages...

    Two minutes of stoppage time....

The woman selling hot dogs has been busier than Christian Benteke today. The Belgian gets a rare whiff of a chance as he meets Jason Puncheon's corner. He directs it well wide of the left-hand post.

Dan Washbourne: Hands up, who thought they'd ever see Huddersfield Town sat atop the pyramid of English football? Absolute scenes.

Oli Parkes: Huddersfield were my favourites for relegation, now it's Crystal Palace...

Patrick Far:I wouldn't blame Frank de Boer too much. Palace not playing too bad. It could be 2-2 already.
