Pinch me. Huddersfield's short reign at the top of the Premier League is over*. That's because new leaders Burnley have gone 3-0 up at reigning champions Chelsea.

Unbelievable.

* I know we're not even halfway through the opening weekend but let's just enjoy it

Palace are huffing and puffing. The hosts win a corner, but the Town defence is organised and clears. In fact, it is scorer Steve Mounie who is there to do the dirty work.

Best chance of the afternoon for Palace.

Wilf Zaha slaloms past the Terriers defence into the box, looking up to see only the keeper to beat. But the winger drags his shot well wide.

He reckons he should have a corner. He's right! Jonas Lossl diverts it wide with his right boot.

Here's one for Huddersfield fans to laminate, frame and stick up on the wall. Top of the Premier League as things stand.

Frank de Boer was a great defender. He has not got a great defence set up at Palace. I don't know what he has been working on all summer.

Another Huddersfield corner is met by a free header, this time it is Zanka who brushes off his marker to power towards the far corner. Luckily for the hosts the ball flies past the post and out for a goal-kick.

Huddersfeld's players will be feeling magnificent. There are good footballers in the Championship and today Huddersfield have been creating chance after chance.

The Terriers are not just playing with energy going forward but they are doing it at the back as well, winning the ball back as soon as they lose possession.

An alert Tom Ince beats the home defence to a throughball, the pacy winger escaping from Joel Ward to go clean through before the Palace man does brilliantly to dispossess him in the box.

That was fraught with danger. Could have been a goal, could have been a penalty. Palace escape.

Frank de Boer looks like he has just been told his local chippy has ran out of cod. Miserable.

I feel embarrassed because I've tipped Huddersfield to go down, but the way they are playing is inspired. The first day of action is a worrying one for Palace.

Palace keeper Wayne Hennessey has certainly been the busiest keeper so far. His palms get warmed again when Philip Billing's swerving drive comes his way.

A nervous touch for new Terriers keeper Jonas Lossl, who is on loan from German club Mainz. The man who replaced Liverpool-bound Loris Karius at Mainz boots clear under pressure from Benteke.

Kasey Palmer, back on loan at Huddersfield from Chelsea, drives forward from midfield with intent. He looks up, sees grass and then decides to have a pop. Easy gather for Wayne Hennessey.

Ahhhh, he's still got it! Frank de Boer shows the touch of a man who could have played for Ajax, Barcelona and the Netherlands. Funny that.

The new Palace manager, suited and booted, brings a stray ball down with the touch of a feather duster. Cue round of applause.

Ooof! Vital sliding challenge from Scott Dann denies Huddersfield. Tom Ince breaks down the left, crossing low and first time towards Steve Mounie. But Dann is perfectly positioned to swipe out for a corner.

It is interesting watching Huddersfield this season. It is probably feeling a little easier for them at the moment. They were told the Premier League was the holy grail and they are just passing it around at the moment. Huddersfield will be pleased what they have done so far.

A moment of uncertainty in the Huddersfield box as Christian Benteke lurks. The bulky Belgian unsettles Mathias Jorgenson - AKA Zanka - before he boots eventually clear.

The Danish centre-back is nicknamed Zanka - and that's the name on the back of his shirt - because he was once likened to the Cool Runnings character for sleeping on the team bus. True story apparently.

Cracking start this. End-to-end in the opening few minutes, both sides playing at a high-tempo. Keep it up lads!
