Marouane Fellaini is a Marmite kind of a player.

Jose Mourinho clearly likes him. He wouldn't have started the Europa League final otherwise.

Others cannot see a player in the Belgian at all.

Moments like that don't do Fellaini any favours. He could have controlled, he could have finished first-time. In the end he did nothing.

The ball bounced off him and went wide.

This game is going to penalties as it stands.

Jose Mourinho, as he keeps reminding us, has only signed two players so far this summer.

The most expensive, Romelu Lukaku, has been excellent in pre-season.

The other, defender Victor Lindelof, much less so.

The Swede, a £31m signing from Benfica, has looked hesitant at times. His challenge on Theo Hernandez just then was rash in the extreme.

Luis takes a quick free-kick for Real and it's a good one, tight angle and over the wall, David de Gea has to fly over and make the stop.

If it ends 1-1 after 90 minutes by the way, we have a penalty shootout. Brilliant news for us all at almost midnight on a Sunday.

It's only a friendly but that was very, very poor defending from Manchester United's big money summer signing. Caught square, he charged over to meet Theo Hernandez, was late, and just smashed the Real man across the shins.

The La Liga season doesn't start until 20 August so Real have got a month to get fine tuned. This game is back down to a very slow pace now.

Jose Mourinho was not happy with the referee after that injury to Ander Herrera but it was not a bad tackle, just a clash. That's not a great challenge by youngster Scott McTominay though and a free-kick in a good spot for Real.

That did not look good for Ander Herrera.

The Spain midfielder headed straight down the tunnel after he was substituted, clearly in some pain from a blow to the left hip he took in what seemed to be an innocuous challenge.

United play Real in the European Super Cup in just over a fortnight.

It is three weeks to their Premier League opener against West Ham. Jose Mourinho will want Herrera for those games.

Zinedine Zidane was a former Real youth team coach of course and he has given plenty of young players a chance here in this second half. Madrid bossing the play so far. Romelu Lukaku has barely had a touch.

Note to self: Increase usage of 'much-ballyhooed' this season.

I think those teams are all correct.
