    Tom Elliott

Tom Elliott has yet to start a Championship game for Millwall, but he knows how to make an impact from the bench.

Five minutes after replacing Steve Morison, Elliott drills in at the back post after visitors Ipswich fail to clear a free-kick.

Can anyone find a winner in the last eight minutes or so?

  3. Maupay puts Bees aheadpublished at 21:25 British Summer Time 15 August 2017

    Brentford 2-1 Bristol City

It has been a very one-sided game at Griffin Park tonight, and the scoreline is starting to reflect it.

Brentford fell behind to Bristol City at the start if the first half, but they have their first lead of the night as Neal Maupay fires in from 15 yards out, moments after coming on as a substitute.

City, who have managed just four shots to the hosts' 21, have only 10 minutes left to find an equaliser.

    Hull City 1-2 Wolves

    Some contest in East Yorkshire.

Abel Hernandez, who hit a hat-trick at the weekend, strikes the post for the hosts with a header from a Sam Clucas cross.

What a difference a goal can make to the feel of a game.

Not much doing in the first 45 minutes of this one, but then two goals in the space of seven minutes for Reading have changed that dramatically.

Glenn Whelen's unfortunate deflection broke the deadlock and then Mo Barrow's close-range finish took advantage of the open spaces in the Villa penalty box.

The 3,935 travelling supporters made their feelings immediately known to the players and Steve Bruce cuts a worried figure on the touchline.

The Gambian has his first Royals goal.

Former Swansea man Mo Barrow pokes home from close range and, as it stands, Villa are in the relegation zone.

    Glenn Whelan (OG)

Is Villa's wretched away form going to continue?

They trail at the Madejski after goalline technology shows that Adrian Popa's cross had (just) crossed the line after deflecting off the unfortunate Glenn Whelan.

  11. Watkins draws Bees levelpublished at 21:06 British Summer Time 15 August 2017

    Brentford 1-1 Bristol City

Brentford finally get the reward for their dominance against Bristol City, and it's last season's EFL Young Player of the Year who provides it.

Ollie Watkins scores his first league goal since joining the Bees from Exeter in the summer, heading in Jota's cross at the back post.

Elsewhere, Derby are on course for their first win of the season, as Matej Vydra slots into the bottom corner from the penalty spot to put them 1-0 up against Preston.

  12. goal

GOAL: Middlesbrough 2-0 Burtonpublished at 21:03 British Summer Time 15 August 2017

    Britt Assombalonga

Two for Boro and two for Britt Assombalonga.

The big striker had a chance to make it 2-0 earlier in the half but makes no mistake this time, tucking in after Rudy Gestede's effort was saved.

  13. goal

GOAL: Cardiff 2-0 Sheffield Unitedpublished at 21:02 British Summer Time 15 August 2017

    Nathaniel Mendez-Laing

Cardiff had started this half strongly and now they have the goal they were threatening.

It's four goals in four games for former Rochdale man Nathaniel Mendez-Laing as he shows great pace before cutting inside and hitting a fine shot to make it 2-0.

    Barnsley 2-1 Nottingham Forest

    Ryan HedgesImage source, Rex Features

Could Barnsley be celebrating their first win of the season in about 40 minutes' time?

It looks that way at the moment, as Ryan Hedges has drilled in his third goal in four games this season to give the Tykes a 2-1 lead over visitors Nottingham Forest.

  19. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:47 British Summer Time 15 August 2017

    Reading 0-0 Aston Villa

    Adam Williams
    BBC Sport at Madejski Stadium

Two great chances in the space of a minute for Reading and Adrian Popa were about the most animated that first half got.

Villa's best chance came early on when Andre Green found himself through on goal but couldn't capitalise.

The visitors have lost the services of Scott Hogan up top through injury, but Gabby Agbonlahor looks hungry to make an impression in his place.

Difficult to tell at the break who looks the more likely to come away with a first win of the campaign come full-time.
