    Leeds 0-0 Fulham

We're back under way after a short stoppage at Elland Road.

Leeds striker Chris Wood inadvertently left Fulham defender Tim Ream needing a spot of treatment after knocking the American to the deck.

  2. Ipswich hit backpublished at 19:53 British Summer Time 15 August 2017

    Millwall 1-1 Ipswich

Just three minutes after falling behind against Millwall Joe Garner's long-range effort beats Jordan Archer, who ought to have kept it out.

Elsewhere, Matty Pearson has given Barnsley the lead at home to Nottingham Forest, heading in from George Moncur's free-kick.

Ruben Neves is the most expensive player in Championship history and he's opened his account in spectacular style.

The Portuguese fires home an unstoppable shot from outside the area to give his side an early lead.

    Superb.

    Well, that didn't take long.

Although we can't bring you online radio commentary from the Championship because of rights restrictions, don't forget you can listen to coverage of your team by tuning in to your BBC local radio station the old fashioned way.

A little further afield, there's also some Champions League football going on this evening, which you can follow on the BBC Sport website by clicking here.

One player in the Reading team who may be looking forward to tonight's clash a little more than his team-mates is utility man Leandro Bacuna.

The Curacao international joined the Royals from Villa on Sunday.

His four years in the West Midlands came to a sorry end after he was ironically cheered off by some of the home support in their opening day draw with Hull City.

Bacuna starts on the bench for his new team tonight.

Hull City have rejected a £10m bid from Burnley for Sam Clucas

There are just 16 days until the summer transfer window closes and teams across the country are looking to get business done while they still can.

Derby County have added Leicester forward Tom Lawrence for £5m, although the Wales international will not feature tonight.

One man who might be swapping the Championship for the Premier League is Hull City midfielder Sam Clucas, who is a target for Burnley.

Another man in the Clarets' sights is Leeds striker Chris Wood. BBC Radio Leeds are reporting that the Elland Road side have rejected a bid for the New Zealand international.

Cardiff v Sheff Utd (19:45 BST)

    Neil WarnockImage source, Empics

It's fair to say Cardiff boss Neil Warnock has been round the block a few times.

The veteran manager is marking his 50th year in football this season and sees his side sit atop the Championship table.

The Sheffield United fan spent arguably the most successful years of his career with his hometown team, leading them to the Premier League in 2006.

Before the season started Warnock told BBC Sport: "We are dark horses for promotion. We need a lot of luck with injuries.

"I think we can give anybody a game. I won't be going anywhere this year not thinking we can win the game."

If they continue their winning start to the season tonight the dark horses might soon start seeing their odds tumble.

  10. Wolves keep the door shutpublished at 19:25 British Summer Time 15 August 2017

    Hull v Wolves (19:45 BST)

There's only one EFL club's defence which hasn't been breached in a competitive match this season...

Neither Middlesbrough nor Derby were able to find a way past John Ruddy in Wolves' two Championship fixtures so far, while back-up Will Norris kept a clean sheet in the EFL Cup win over Yeovil.

Tonight, Wolves are at Hull, where they haven't won for more than a decade. Former Arsenal striker Jeremie Aliadiere (remember him?) was among their goalscorers in a 3-2 victory in February 2006.

This is the first season that the Championship has used goalline technology.

However, the Hawkeye-system will not be operational in the games at Barnsley, Birmingham or Millwall tonight.

The EFL say this is because of an issue with the floodlights at those grounds which they are looking to rectify.

Reading v Aston Villa (20:00 BST)

    Jordan AyewImage source, Rex Features

Although Aston Villa have recorded a frankly appalling four wins in their last 42 away games they can at least point to a recent success at the Madejski Stadium.

Steve Bruce picked up his first win as Villans boss with a 2-1 win in October 2016 thanks to Jonathan Kodjia and a last-minute Jordan Ayew penalty.

The win was Villa's first away from home since August 2015.

However, the Royals had their revenge in April when they left Villa Park with three points after a 3-1 win.

"Playing away from home has been our Achilles heel since I arrived and, to be brutally honest, I haven't been able to address it in the six months I've been here. I can't address it quickly enough."

Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce is not known for pulling his punches.

The Villans manager described Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Cardiff City as "a rude awakening" as his side's away day woes continued.

It might only be two games into the season but Bruce will know that more of the same tonight at Reading could see him facing serious pressure from both fans and the boardroom.

Good evening and welcome to tonight's Championship live text.
