Celtic v Rosenborg (19:45)
"There’s no other recognised striker I can see anywhere," says BBC Sportsound pundit Pat Bonner.
"Are any of the young guys ready? They’re not there to sit on the bench tonight. I wonder what kind of psychological blow this will be for the rest of the team, when one of your main guys is out for quite a while.
"This compounds what Leigh Griffiths did [in Belfast]. I was there that night and I was thinking, ‘get out of it, get up the tunnel’.
"Look at what the outcome has been, with Dembele injured. [Griffiths] should be out there performing and scoring goals, doing what he should be doing. Stick to playing football, don’t get caught up with that other nonsense. That’s what fans want to see him do, scoring goals. That’s why he’s a hero here."

The Rosenborg squad have been making themselves comfortable ahead of tonight's Champions League qualifier. Skipper Mike Jensen takes a weight off ahead of the game.
Meanwhile, one Celtic supporter catches up with some reading for light relief to combat the pre-match nerves...
Celtic v Rosenborg (19:45)
Rosenborg captain Mike Jensen is expecting an early onslaught at Celtic Park by a side he rates as favourites to progress to the play-off stage.
"It's a big challenge for us," said Bendtner's fellow Dane. "They are maybe the best team we have played for a long time, but we need to focus on ourselves.
"Everyone will agree that they are the favourites to go through, but the best version of Rosenborg will beat the second best version of Celtic.
"We will have chances and I hope we have the courage to take them. We will have a go. It's not in our style to defend deep for 90 minutes.
"They will come out with a lot of energy and we need to handle that early pressure."

"He [Dembele] has got a history with [the injury]," says former Celtic striker Scott McDonald.
"I did worry last week when I saw him sprinting 40 yards to chase a Linfield attacker when the game was won. Now Brendan Rodgers probably wishes he didn’t do things like that when he’s still got scarring from the previous injury. Although I’m not saying that’s when it happened.
"It’s a massive gamble [if Celtic don’t sign a third striker] if you leave yourself with one [striker] and then say Leigh Griffiths gets an injury or a suspension.
"If you haven’t got a platform to play off away from home when you’re under pressure, that can be a problem."

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers tells BBC Radio Scotland's Sportsound that striker Moussa Dembele will miss the Champions League qualifiers through his hamstring injury.
"To have both of our strikers out is disappointing. However, there's nothing you can do about it. It looks like Moussa may well be out for the whole of this [European qualification] campaign.
"So, we have to adapt and we're hoping that Leigh can come back at some point. But, like I say, we've always been based around the collective and looking to that collective to find solutions for us.
"The players are comfortable now in playing in different formations, but our style and identity is always the same."
Asked whether Celtic will sign another striker to combat the loss of Dembele, Rodgers says it's something he will discuss with his coaching staff...
Celtic v Rosenborg (19:45)
"It's a game we're looking forward to," says Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers. "Nothing will be sorted out tonight but certainly we can go a long way by putting in a good performance and hopefully getting a good result to take into the second leg."

"Rosenborg will obviously be several steps up from Linfield. That said, they really struggled to get past Dundalk, who pushed them all the way.
"A very fine line in their last match. Rosenborg, in those two games had two battles. Celtic haven't had a battle yet this season. Rosenborg will definitely be up to the pitch of a tie of this magnitude."

Former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner will still pose a threat to Celtic's Champions League hopes, according to Dundalk boss Stephen Kenny.
Kenny believes it was teamwork rather than star players that led to his side being edged out by Rosenborg in the previous round.
"They don't have any one outstanding individual but a very cohesive team," he said.
"But you have to respect that Bendtner's got 28 goals for Denmark, so that says a lot.
The 29-year-old Dane moved to Rosenborg in March after an undistinguished spell with Nottingham Forest and has scored six goals in 19 games for the side leading the Eliteserien by five points after 17 games.
"He's been at some good clubs, winning the German Cup with Wolfsburg and being part of the squad that won Serie A at Juventus - even if he was not a regular starter," Kenny told BBC Scotland.
"Most people don't realise until you've seen him in person - he's actually 6ft 5in, a giant of a man and has a very good first touch, although his movement was not that threatening."

Former Celtic manager Ronny Deila was reluctant to provide a scouting report on the Scottish champions, according to Rosenborg coach Kare Ingebrigtsen.
The Norwegians arrive in Glasgow in fine fettle: 17 games into their domestic season and five points clear at the top of the table.
However, hopes of Deila spilling the beans on his old stomping ground were dashed.
"He is more a fan of Celtic than Rosenborg. I am not trusting everything he said to me," Ingebrigsten said.
"[The chat] was more about Celtic Park and what we could expect. That's what he could tell me about."
As for which side goes into the tie as favourites, the Rosenborg boss is in no doubt.
"It has to be Celtic," he said. "They are used to being favourites, we are used to being favourites.
"We look at this as an even game. Someone has to be favourite, but I don't think it matters anyway."
Ingebrigtsen says Rosenborg will come to Celtic Park in search of away goals as they seek to take some kind of advantage into the second-leg.

Chief sports writer, BBC Scotland at Celtic Park
"When Kristoffer Ajer came in there was a big song and dance about him. He's still only a kid but this is a great chance for him. He's still inexperienced at only 19, with only one appearance for Celtic.
"It's a huge ask but if he can hold his own in this environment then Celtic will have a player. If he's going to be a Celtic player long-term, then he's got to do it on nights like this..."

Celtic accounted for Linfield in the second qualifying round while Rosenborg overcame Dundalk. However, Celtic's progress was not without controversy.
Leigh Griffiths received a one-game European suspension for "provoking spectators" in the away win over Linfield. The striker tied a scarf to the goalposts after the first leg of the Champions League second-round qualifier at Windsor Park.
Objects were thrown from the crowd, including a bottle aimed at Griffiths, while there was an attempted pitch invasion at full-time.
Celtic then announced that the Green Brigade section of Celtic Park will be closed for the next two games - against Rosenborg and Hearts - "amid serious safety concerns".
Uefa charged Celtic over an "illicit banner" displayed during their Champions League tie against Linfield.
And Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell said decisive action was needed in response to the fans' behaviour.

Brendan Rodgers has a selection headache, or more pointedly, a striker dilemma with Leigh Griffiths suspended and Moussa Dembele an injury concern.
"We are looking at a possible injury he may have," said Rodgers.
"He [Dembele] could be [a doubt] so we could be without him and Leigh so we need to find a way.
"We do what we always do, we will try to find a solution within the team to make it work."
