    Gary Flintoff

The majority of the Everton fans I spoke to at half-time thought there was no coming back at 2-0 down. Now it is 3-0 I wonder whether some will make an early dart? Tottenham are totally dominant.

    Everton 0-3 Tottenham

The home fans are frustrated but at the moment their team look hopelessly bereft of any ideas as to how they can stop Spurs.

    It is totally one-sided.

Everton are all over the place. There's no real understanding of who is picking up who and Ronald Koeman will be furious.

At the moment, he will be worried as Everton can't get into the game.

    Pickford prevents it being 0-4.

Just one question... where was the Everton defence?!

Christian Eriksen is allowed to wander unmarked into the box to receive a chipped ball and volley an effort on goal that the home keeper palms away.

He is called into action again soon after to deny Kane from close range.

This could end five or six nil.

    Harry Kane

    He meant this one!

Harry Kane is given all the time and space he needs in the box to slot home a first-time shot from Ben Davies' cross.

That is probably game over, just 47 seconds into the second half.

    Everton 0-2 Tottenham

Not sure what Everton do here? Then again, that's why I'm sat here writing about the game and not managing in it.

Ronald Koeman has his work cut out, that's for sure.

Tottenham were excellent that first half. Davinson Sánchez looks like he's been playing in their back three for years.

And now Harry Kane's back scoring, the league should probably be afraid.

Now Kane misses a chance he should score, pulling a shot wide from a central position in the box. It could easily be 0-4.

Oh, Dele, Dele, Dele. Got to score.

Tottenham break down the left, feeding Kane into plenty of space. His cross falls to Dele Alli, who is unmarked, bang in front of goal, but somehow misses the ball completely.

It was a fantastic save initially from Jordan Pickford but all day Spurs have had some fantastic runners from midfield.

Spurs have taken advantage on this occasion but Everton's back four just don't know what to do with them.

Moussa Sissoko has made such a massive difference today because the runs he's made from deep have caused a real problem for Everton.

    It's two!

Christian Eriksen follows Kane by opening his account for the season.

Dele Alli's cross is fired towards goal by Ben Davies and pushed away by Jordan Pickford, but Eriksen is waiting, unmarked, to fire into the unguarded net.

What an extraordinary unfortunate opportunity for Everton! I don't think he knew much about it, he seemed to look a bit dazed but it was an important block by Toby Alderweireld.

That was the first time Everton have really got into the box. Tottenham are on top.

    Everton 0-1 Tottenham

Gylfi Sigurdsson's corner into the box causes a few problems for Spurs, with the ball bouncing around pinball style before it is hacked clear.

There is a lot of effort and intent on Everton's part but precious little guile.
