  1. 'Big moments going against us'published at 17:19 British Summer Time 9 September 2017

    Leicester 1-2 Chelsea

    Leicester City

Leicester manager Craig Shakespeare speaking to Match of the Day: "The big moments are going against us at the moment. We had a chance and a minute later they go down the other end and score.

"We are disappointed and had to change our shape. The players applied themselves magnificently in the second half, on another day it might have gone our way.

"We said the first six games would be a challenge. We go again and have to dust ourselves down. We have a very important game against Huddersfield next week."

Brighton played brilliantly today, and they have got it so right off the pitch too. They have a great manager, a fantastic stadium and a brilliant fan base and now it's all coming together.

I am looking forward to seeing them build on it even further.

  3. 'We have to be men'published at 17:18 British Summer Time 9 September 2017

    Arsenal 3-0 Bournemouth

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth striker Jermain Defoe: "A disappointing performance, we are not happy. We can give so much more than that.

"The next game is massive for us. We believe we can perform. It is not for the want of trying, we prepare right. Sometimes when your confidence is low nothing seems to go your way and hopefully it will turn.

"We have to be men and stand up and be counted. We can only do it together."

Concerning times for Bournemouth? It's very early days but today's defeat at Arsenal means they are yet to pick up a single point in the Premier League.

  5. 'Man Utd squad is best equipped'published at 17:14 British Summer Time 9 September 2017

Stoke v Manchester United (17:30 BST)

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on Football Focus

Lukaku is only doing really what he did last season. He's playing with better players will give him better chances, but we're only three games in.

I think Man United are a whole lot better than they were last season. It's positive signs for United. I think their squad is the best equipped. Every position is covered twice, by top quality. The hardest thing for Jose at the moment is keeping them all happy.

  6. Howe's to-do listpublished at 17:13 British Summer Time 9 September 2017

    Arsenal 3-0 Bournemouth

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe: "That was nowhere near where we need to be.

"You can get bad results in the Premier League, but when you don't have performances, that's where concerns creep in. That's where we are. We will lick our wounds.

"We are not creating chances, we are giving up too many chances and we are not passing the ball well."

  7. 'We defo left everything out there'published at 17:12 British Summer Time 9 September 2017

    Leicester 1-2 Chelsea

    Leicester City

Jamie Vardy speaking to Match of the Day: "We defo left everything out there but it wasn't enough in the end.

"It was a definite penalty, he clipped my shin pads. Their centre-backs said differently but I am sure they will think differently when they see it."

  8. 'I have seen a change in Lukaku'published at 17:12 British Summer Time 9 September 2017

Stoke v Manchester United (17:30 BST)

    Roberto Martinez
    Belgium manager on 5 live

With Romelu Lukaku you can either look at the things he doesn't do on the the pitch or you can highlight his outstanding strengths. He creates chances and he takes chances and he will never lose that. He will always score goals.

It depends on the role you give him in the team. He is ready to take responsibility up front. He is ready for a big role at Manchester United, I have seen a difference in him.

He is thirsty to take the big moment in a game. He is growing with every game he plays at Manchester United. Any player at the age of 24 would not say that they are the finished article. Any player has ups and downs in form.

  9. 'Too nice, too weak'published at 17:12 British Summer Time 9 September 2017

    Everton 0-3 Tottenham

    Everton

Everton boss Ronald Koeman, speaking to BBC Sport: "I am disappointed. I thought the first 25 minutes was OK. We had some chances but after the lucky 1-0 down it was really difficult. We lost control in the game. Tottenham's midfield diamond was difficult to control.

"Straight away in the second half the third goal killed the confidence in our team and Tottenham grew even more.

"The frustration is the second half. I don't ask for yellow or red cards but in several situations we were too nice. We were too nice, too weak in the second half but that is also something about confidence.

"The key is to learn from today. We knew Tottenham are a really strong side with really strong technical players.

"I know how it works in football. If you sign some players they are losing a bit being realistic. Everyone is talking Everton top six but if you know the qualities of the players in the top six it is a challenge. We have enough games coming up to have a good reaction."

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe; "That was not very good I've got to be honest. I can't hide it. We were disappointing from start to finish. We've got a lot to work to do.

"If you dip in levels you will get punished in the Premier League. We were not good. We have no points, we have to dig deep and find some character and show what we are made of.

"I don't think complacency can be the problem for us. We can't allow that. I take responsibility and I will put it right. I didn't see what I wanted to see today."

    Leicester 1-2 Chelsea

    Chelsea

"I am good but the most important thing is we are not in the first places and we look forward to moving ahead in the table."

    Everton 0-3 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham striker Harry Kane: "That was a very good performance today. It is not an easy place to come but we played very well all through the pitch. Our attacking play was fantastic.

"We wanted to come here and get a good result. We just need to take this momentum into the Champions League next week."

Did he mean to score the first goal? "No, I didn't. Got a lucky one but sometimes you need that. It is fantastic. It has been a crazy few years and to get 100th goal was amazing. Hopefully I can get a few more."

  18. 'United's toughest yet?'published at 16:57 British Summer Time 9 September 2017

Stoke City v Manchester United (17:30 BST)

    Ian Brown
BBC Radio 5 live at bet365 Stadium

The ground on a Staffordshire hill. The storm clouds and the stiffening winds. This is where Manchester United will expose their immaculate record to the whims of Stoke City.

United have not won here since the days of Sir Alex and it was in the fourth game of last season that Mourinho's men dropped their first points of the season. Stoke rediscovered at least some of their abrasive edge in beating Arsenal here three weeks ago - they enjoyed some luck too. But that passionate Potteries atmosphere was back and Mark Hughes expects more of the same.

United's players also have a lot more international miles on the clock and that too will be a factor in making this their most difficult assignment so far.

  19. 'It has to continue'published at 16:56 British Summer Time 9 September 2017

    Arsenal 3-0 Bournemouth

    Arsenal

Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck: "We have had a difficult few weeks and we got the right result - but it has to continue.

"You have to be prepared and execute the gameplan. The early goal helped us along the way. We have got Cologne on Thursday and then Chelsea away next Sunday.

"It is a good headache for the manager t have up front with me, Lacazette, Giroud and Sanchez."

  20. 'Tottenham are title contenders'published at 16:55 British Summer Time 9 September 2017

    Everton 0-3 Tottenham

    Leon Osman
Ex-Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

It's not been through a lack of effort from Everton but Spurs have just been a cut above. Their movement and the way they have worked together as a team was brilliant.

Tottenham should certainly be considered title contenders after that performance. They just need to get that victory at Wembley and they will be on their way.
