  3. Leaders Bannsiders face Ards testpublished at 14:29 British Summer Time 9 September 2017

    Ards v Coleraine

Leaders Coleraine will aim to maintain their 100% record in the Premiership against an Ards team that picked up their first points of the season as they won at Carrick on Tuesday night.

Bannsiders boss Oran Kearney has named an unchanged team from the 4-2 win over Glenavon with Jamie McGonigle on the bench after missing last weekend's game because of Northern Ireland Under-21 duty.

Gareth McConaghie and David Kee remain absent in addition to long-term injured duo Lyndon Kane and James McLaughlin.

Ards boss Colin Nixon makes two changes from the win at Carrick with Gareth Tommons and Scott Davidson replacing Craig McMillen and the suspended Kyle Cherry.

  4. Don't count Mallards out against the Cruespublished at 14:27 British Summer Time 9 September 2017

    Ballinamallard v Crusaders

Crusaders travel to Ferney Park this afternoon as overwhelming favourites to take three points back to Belfast, but recent history suggests it will be a tight affair.

Although the Crues have fired eight past the Fermanagh-based club in the last two games at Seaview, their latest couples of trips to Ferney Park have seen them come away with a single-goal victory, with the two visits before ending in a 1-1 draw.

It certainly reflects the idea that Crusaders don't relish the journey, and having seen Cliftonville dominate Mallards here recently yet only come away with a point, Stephen Baxter will know his players may not have it all their own way.

  5. Reds hoping for Swift upturn in fortunespublished at 14:23 British Summer Time 9 September 2017

    Cliftonville v Dungannon Swifts

Cliftonville have only managed one point from their last four league outings as Barry Gray admits his players are struggling to replicate what they have shown in training on the pitch.

They face a Dungannon side today fresh off back-to-back victories over Ards and Ballinamallard, and it's the Swifts who have the edge in the most recent meetings between the sides, managing a win and two draws against the Reds last season.

That win came at Solitude, when Andrew Mitchell scored twice in a 2-1 win, and although he has moved on, Rodney McAree will be quietly confident that his side can emulate that performance against this wounded Cliftonville side.

    Cliftonville v Dungannon Swifts

Barry Gray sticks with the same team that lost to Ballymena last week, with Rory Donnelly once again lining up alongside brother Jay and fellow returning summer recruit Joe Gormley.

There is one change for Dungannon as Cormac Burke replaces Peter McMahon.

  7. McAree expects response from Cliftonvillepublished at 14:19 British Summer Time 9 September 2017

    Cliftonville v Dungannon Swifts

Dungannon Swifts manager Rodney McAree expects Cliftonville to respond from a disappointing run of league form by providing a stiff test for his side at Stangmore Park.

The Swifts have won their last two matches after losing their opening three fixtures.

    Ballinamallard v Crusaders

Gavin Dykes makes three changes to the side that lost 2-0 at Dungannon last week, with Jonathan Leddy, Blaine Burns and Josh McIlwaine coming in for Aaron Canning, Jason McCartney and Stuart Hutchinson.

Meanwhile, Paul Heatley and Gavin Whyte return to the starting line-up for Crusaders, with Jamie Glackin and David Cushley missing out.

  9. Recent history favours Linfieldpublished at 14:14 British Summer Time 9 September 2017

    Linfield v Glentoran

Linfield have had much the better of recent encounters against their big Belfast rivals, winning 12 of their last 19 league meetings and losing just one, with six games drawn.

The Blues have also enjoyed four consecutive wins in the most recent cup ties between the clubs, including two successes in the Irish Cup, a triumph in the League Cup and a victory in the County Antrim Shield.

  10. Kearney keen to get injured players backpublished at 14:11 British Summer Time 9 September 2017

    Ards v Coleraine

Coleraine manager Oran Kearney is keen to boost the strength of his squad by getting some of his injured players back.
