    Swifts striker nets superb equaliser

It looked like Glenavon would be overnight leaders as they led Dungannon 1-0 with six minutes to go in the Friday evening match at Mourneview - but then this happened. Take a bow Swifts striker Paul McElroy.

It ends 1-1 and Glenavon stay third.

  4. Today's actionpublished at 14:03 British Summer Time 30 September 2017

    Four Irish Premiership games

Good afternoon, welcome to our coverage of today's Irish Premiership action. A full six-match programme is increasingly hard to come by these days, and although we're stuck with just the four this afternoon, there is the small matter of Cliftonville v Linfield at Solitude.

It's a fixture that is always compelling viewing, but after the Reds' indifferent start to the season, you feel as though the stakes are that little bit higher even at this early stage in the season.

Elsewhere, Coleraine look to continue their unbeaten start to the campaign when they travel to Ballymena United. The Sky Blues have had a mixed bag so far, with three wins, four defeats and a draw, so David Jeffrey will certainly have his men fired up against the league leaders.

Ballinamallard United look to clinch their first win of the season as they welcome fellow strugglers Ards to Ferney Park, while Warrenpoint Town hope to avoid a sixth straight league defeat at home as they entertain Carrick Rangers.
