  3. Dons' double-header with Acciespublished at 14:28 British Summer Time 6 August 2017

    Aberdeen v Hamilton Academical (15:00)

    Scott Davie
    BBC Scotland at Pittodrie

"Aberdeen must immediately put away the disappointment of another third qualifying round exit from the Europa League for what will be a tricky double-header against Hamilton in the Premiership and League Cup.

"The Dons have won the last six league meetings at Pittodrie between the pair with a winning aggregate of 14-1 but they won't be looking forward to the away match against the same opponents on Wednesday.

"They lost both league games at New Douglas Park last season making Hamilton the only team other than Rangers and Celtic to inflict a double defeat on the Dons.

"That certainly helped Accies earn the play-off place that they took advantage of to remain in the top flight by beating Dundee United.

"They remain nearly everyone's favourites to take the drop this time but it would help their cause if they manage to win away from home quicker than last season when their first league win on the road came at Dens Park in April."

  4. Accies field defensive XIpublished at 14:24 British Summer Time 6 August 2017

    Aberdeen v Hamilton Academical (15:00)

Three changes for Hamilton after last weekend's League Cup win over Stenhousemuir.

Georgios Sarris and Scott Boyd replace Grant Gillespie and Danny Redmond in a more defensive line-up, with Greg Docherty - the man whose goal sealed Accies' top-flight survival in May - starting ahead of David Templeton.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 14:23 British Summer Time 6 August 2017

    Motherwell 1-1 Rangers

    Chris McLaughlin
BBC Sport Scotland at Fir Park

"Fabulous first half here in Lanarkshire that has developed into a fascinating tactical battle. Rangers flew out of the traps and looked so impressive early on but as Motherwell started to believe in themselves, they fought back well. Lots of chances for both sides and I'd expect more goals in the second period."

  6. Four changes for Donspublished at 14:21 British Summer Time 6 August 2017

    Aberdeen v Hamilton Academical (15:00)

After their midweek Europa League exit, Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes has shuffled his pack for the visit of Hamilton.

Mark Reynolds, Greg Stewart, Gary Mackay-Steven and the suspended Jayden Stockley all drop out.

Kari Arnason comes into central defence, with Greg Tansey and Scott Wright in midfield, and Nicky Maynard making his Scottish Premiership bow up front.

    HT: Motherwell 1-1 Rangers

    Quote Message

You can't deny Motherwell deserved to come back into it. Rangers had all the play and the chances early on and it took Motherwell a while to get going, but they got better as the half went on.

    Ben Heneghan

The warnings have been there for Rangers and Craig Tanner's inviting inswinging cross from the right finds Ben Heneghan at the back post and the defender gets enough on the header to beat Wes Foderingham.

    Motherwell 0-1 Rangers

Craig Tanner's shot is too high for Motherwell.

Moments ago Lee Hodson blocked a cross in the Rangers box and replays show Elliott Frear's shot came off the defender's arm.

"Rangers continue to knock the ball around well but Motherwell perhaps guilty of sitting off too much. The home side look threatening when they believe in themselves but it's not happening often enough."

    Motherwell 0-1 Rangers

Andy Rose cuts back for Craig Tanner, who is on the stretch as he fires wide of the Rangers goal.

  16. CLOSE!published at 30 mins

    Motherwell 0-1 Rangers

Daniel Candeias sends Lee Wallace in on goal but the Rangers captain's shot from the left of the box is narrowly wide.

  17. Postpublished at 30 mins

    Motherwell 0-1 Rangers

A breathless opening to this game but the pace is starting to drop.

Rangers' ability to break quickly is what is mostly troubling Motherwell but the hosts have had plenty of opportunities to get the ball into the box from wide areas.

    Motherwell 0-1 Rangers

Craig Tanner's free-kick on the Mothewell left is too high and misses everyone in the Rangers box.

"Motherwell starting to believe in themselves now after a few missed chances. Windass continues to be a real menace for Rangers though. He's having a fantastic game so far."

  20. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20 mins

    Motherwell 0-1 Rangers

    Almost a second for Rangers.

Josh Windass goes on a mazy run on the left from halfway, beats a couple of defenders and rolls a shot on to the far post.

    Terrific play from the Englishman.
