    Tottenham Hotspur

With Dele Alli, Jan Vertonghen and Christian Eriksen all out, Tottenham are forced to make three changes to the team that beat West Ham on Saturday.

Harry Winks, Kieran Trippier and Son Heung-min all come into the side. That could mean Serge Aurier on the wing in front of Kevin Trippier or Spurs could stick with their 3-4-3 with Tripper switching to left wing-back and Ben Davies moving into central defence.

Tottenham XI: Lloris (C), Trippier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Davies, Aurier, Dier, Winks, Sissoko, Son, Kane.

Subs: Vorm, N'Koudou, Llorente, Foyth, Walker-Pieters, Georgiou, Oakley-Boothe

Apoel Nicosia XI: Waterman, Carlao, Lago, Vouros, Rueda, Morais (C), Aloneftis, Vinicius, Sallai, Zahid, De Camargo

Manchester City v Shakhtar Donetsk (19:45 BST)

    BBC Radio 5 live

Conor McNamara on 5 live: "Do not underestimate Shakhtar.

"Although they have never won a European game on English soil, they did beat Napoli in their opening group game. Napoli are the current Serie A leaders with six wins from six games.

"Shakhtar have had a resilience about them in recent seasons… they have won their last five away games in Europe and they have only lost two of their last 10 away European games."

Ally McCoist and Conor McNamaraImage source, BBC Sport

Ally McCoist on Radio 5 live: "It's the first time I have seen Manchester City live this season and from what I have seen on TV I'm very, very impressed so far.

"I think they look as strong as they have been in recent seasons from middle to front.

"I see this being a tougher game however than a lot of people expect after their great result against Napoli and I also think the City defence will be tested at a level they haven't been so far this season."

There was a time - quite a while ago admittedly - when players used to travel to games on the same transport as the fans.

    Not any more.

Manchester City get a state-of-the art coach to take them basically across the street from the club's amazing academy - where their Under-19s have just beaten Shakhtar 3-1 in the Uefa Youth League - before getting announced off the coach and walking through a line of fans and into the stadium.

The Argentine scored against Crystal Palace at the weekend, moving him on to 176 goals for City and two more against Ukrainian side Shakhtar will make him the club's all-time top scorer.

Near on 1,200 Tottenham supporters are expected in the ancient city of Nicosia tonight, not a bad venue for a Champions League game in late September. Temperatures hit 32C this afternoon but should drop to a more manageable mid 20s by kick-off at 22:45 local time.

It's a game you'd expect Spurs to win but they're without the core of their team. Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli, Jan Vertonghen, Victor Wanyama, Moussa Dembele, Danny Rose and of course Erik Lamela are all missing.

Despite that Tottenham should pick up their second group win which could put them six points clear in second place tonight.

Benjamin Mendy has looked great as an attacking left-back for Manchester City this season. However he limped off injured during the win over Crystal Palace on Saturday. Guardiola has no natural left-sided replacement.

He could move either Kyle Walker or Danilo over from the right side, but has decided to slot Fabian Delph in there. City are short on left-sided defenders after both Aleksandar Kolorov and Gael Clichy left in the summer.
