I have enjoyed the opening stages.

They are comfortable on the ball Shakhtar Donetsk, but Manchester City look threatening going forward, as you would expect.

It's been a good opening to this game.

And that is beautiful one touch football from Shakhtar.

It was an important tackle too but what a lovely move.

The best of Donetsk, as a neat one-touch passing move frees Fred in on goal, he's the blind side of the City defence and is just about to toe it home until Fernandinho muscles in on the action and makes a cracking challenge to deny his old club!

    Spartak Moscow 0-0 Liverpool

Liverpool have settled well and that would have been some goal! Trent Alexander-Arnold swaps a one-two with Mo Salah, takes the ball on his chest but then rather shanks his shot wide from 15 yards or so.

Nice from Sadio Mane, who ghosts past Ilya Kutepov as if he wasn't there and gets into the box - but his ball across the face is well cleared.

What a pass that was from De Bruyne. It was a fantastic run from Gabriel Jesus and De Buryne has acknowledged the run.

    Brilliant pass.

Lovely ball in from Kevin de Bruyne - playing the best football of his City career at the moment? - as he flights a peach into the run of Sergio Aguero. He takes it on his chest swivels and shoots - but straight at Andriy Pyatov.

Emre Can is in the book after a heavy, late challenge in the middle of the park. That puts him on edge for a long time.

It's a great ball actually but David Silva took an unusually poor touch for him.

    Chance lost.

A bad touch from David Silva! Incredible. You don't see that very often!

It costs City a goal too. Gabriel Jesus bursts into the area and cuts it back for Silva, take a touch and stroke it home. But his touch is heavy and the ball is cleared.

I can't believe the risks the Ukranians are taking in the first five minutes.

They are giving Manchester City lots of space.

A quiet start in a very loud stadium in Moscow, as Mohamed Salah wastes a decent counter-attacking chance down the left. Philippe Coutinho then whips in a fine ball and it's just over the head of Roberto Firmino.

Spurs have started really well and Son should maybe have opened the scoring. Serge Aurier's low cross is cut out at the near post but the ball only rolls into the Korean's path - and his shot is well blocked.

Sergio Aguero, chasing that record, cuts in from the left wing, lines up a shot - and puts it out for a throw in! Miles wide.

It's all under way elsewhere in Europe.

Will Real Madrid score in their 38th consecutive Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund?

Will Radamel Falcao score in his third successive match for Monaco against Porto?

We'll know all the answers soon.

It's rocking in here the place is awash with orange, it's a fabulous atmosphere. It's important Tottenham start well and they're playing a three at the back with Alderweireld, Sanchez and Davies.

A Manchester City steward has just come round and told members of the media near me that you are not allowed to film or take pictures in the press box.

At the time, there were about six people using their phones to capture the teams as they came onto the pitch.

    Good luck enforcing that.
