  1. goal

GOAL - Apoel Nicosia 0-4 Real Madridpublished at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2017

    Karim Benzema (45 mins)

What a counter that is! Apoel have a corner, it's cleared and Real Madrid suddenly have four men in on goal. Cristiano Ronaldo squares it unselfishly and it's a tap-in for Karim Benzema.

    His second, Real going through.

David: Here’s a question, all be it rhetorical. How would Mignolet have dealt with those chances that Karius saved? Definitely should be given an extended run in goal in my opinion.

Max: Forgive my eagerness but is it too soon to abbreviate Mane, Salah, Coutinho & Firmino in same way we’ve had BBC and MSN?

  3. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:27 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2017

    Borussia Dortmund 1-0 Tottenham

Tottenham growing into the game before half-time.

Firstly, Christian Eriksen forces Roman Burki into the low save and from the resulting corner, the Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper - usually quite dodgy - dives high to his right to tip away Eric Dier's header towards the top corner.

    Nacho (41 mins)

Game, set and the match, surely.

You don't mind Real Madrid scoring beauties past you but when you let one centre-half nod it on and the other one head in from two yards it's a bit poor.

Nacho on the end of it, onside, Three nil.

  6. Not much to shout about at the Etihad...published at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2017

    Man City 0-0 Feyenoord

    Chris Bevan
    BBC Sport at Etihad Stadium

It’s all a bit subdued at the Etihad Stadium - on and off the pitch. Even the Feyenoord fans had gone quiet for a while, until that shot by Sam Larsson, which brought an even better delayed reaction from the away end (a kind of synchronised ‘oooooh...whoooopah’) at the opposite end of the pitch than the effort itself.

  7. CLOSE!published at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2017

    Sevilla 0-3 Liverpool

    Superb stuff.

Philippe Coutinho with an outside-of-the-foot ball through to Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian steadies himself and strikes low, but the goalkeeper gets a hand on to it, before a Sevilla defender comes across to complete the clearance.

Sevilla have to push forward but they're doing it in kamikaze fashion. Just stupid.

    Borussia Dortmund 1-0 Tottenham

Spurs did the hard work early in this group and just as well.

Christian Eriksen recently hit a hat-trick for Denmark against Republic of Ireland, but his radar is off this time, shooting straight at the goalkeeper Roman Burki.

  10. goal

GOAL - Apoel Nicosia 0-2 Real Madridpublished at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2017

    Karim Benzema (39 mins)

He's been under pressure after a barren run of goals but give Karim Benzema a sniff and he usually delivers. It's a lovely move too, Cristiano Ronaldo laying the ball back to Toni Kroos, Benzema darting in behind and Kroos finding him with a peach of a pass. Benzema takes a touch and steers home from 19 yards.

    Real safely through?

  11. CLOSE!published at 20:23 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2017

    Manchester City 0-0 Feyenoord

Very close indeed to an opener - for the visitors. Sam Larsson weaves inside and then out his man and bends a wonderful little curler just past the far post. Ederson was beaten.

That shakes City into life and Raheem Sterling finds Bernardo Silva inside the area but the former Monaco man's finish is really tame. Side-footed and poor.

  12. Sevilla are a 'shambles'published at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2017

    Sevilla 0-3 Liverpool

    Pat Nevin
Ex-Chelsea winger in Seville for Radio 5 live

Oddly enough Mo Salah has been quite quiet, Philippe Coutinho has been quite quiet. That is a worry for Sevilla, if they decide to come to the party. Sevilla are a shambles. They are utterly shell-shocked.

    Sevilla 0-3 Liverpool

Liverpool are playing some joyous football, the hosts just cannot get to grips with Philippe Coutinho, Mohamed Salah or Roberto Firmino.

    Not forgetting Sadio Mane.

    A four-midable frontline that!

Liverpool's top scorer Salah will be looking to notch again tonight, but screws a shot over the crossbar.

    Sevilla 0-3 Liverpool

    Pat Nevin
Ex-Chelsea winger in Seville for Radio 5 live

Sometimes you don't have to be complicated, just know you're quicker than the opposition. Liverpool could easily get another two or three goals. Sevilla at the back are no match for Liverpool's pace. By the way how slow was the goalkeeper coming out there? It was an awful error to add to the poor defending in front of him.

    Manchester City 0-0 Feyenoord

Yaya Toure has a rare dart up the field, he finds Ilkay Gundogan 20 yards out and he can only curl over the top.

Sergio Aguero then heads over after another delicious pass from Kevin de Bruyne.

    Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

    The barren run is over.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang strokes home low into the net for Borussia Dortmund after Andriy Yarmolenko's sublime backheel put him through on goal.

As it stands, Dortmund still going out as Real Madrid are leading against Apoel Nicosia.

  19. goal

GOAL - Sevilla 0-3 Liverpoolpublished at 30 mins

    Roberto Firmino

One, two, three, oh, so easy.

Sadio Mane runs on to a long punt forward and finds himself through on goal. No-one is catching him.

Mane, looking for a second, opens his body up and shoots towards the bottom corner, but Sergio Rico pounces low to his left to keep the ball out.

Instead, it is Roberto Firmino who manages to bag his second of the night, tucking in to an open net.

    Manchester City 0-0 Feyenoord

A Predator's eye view of the game.

Manchester City (on the left) have had an extraordinary amount of the play (77%) but they have only had one shot on target.

Ilkay Gundogan almost has another after a lovely one-two with Sergio Aguero but he's tackled really well by Sven van Beek.

    Wasn't he in Dawson's Creek?
