It’s been belly laughs since leaving Gatwick yesterday and arriving in Sevilla. All sorts has been going on in the 22 degree heat and negotiation skills have been tested to the max.

In the last hour Pat Nevin has snapped his glasses in two, we’ve blagged our way in, crisps are the only thing we’ve got to eat and Ian Dennis has done 300 steps to collect them!

I’m sitting on a luggage case for the night and the hotdogs are still not ready.

    Fun and games!

Borussia Dortmund v Tottenham (19:45 GMT)

Visiting Borussia Dortmund’s Westfalenstadion, or the Signal Iduna Park to give it its official title, is always a highlight on any football fixture list and here it looms up behind the autumn leaves on the walk from the town centre.

Before Dortmund’s 3-2 loss to RB Leipzig last month they had gone 41 Bundesliga games without defeat here and all of a sudden they haven’t won in their last three games at home - beaten by Bayern Munich and a damaging Champions League draw against Apoel Nicosia.

    Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs have done the heavy lifting early in a very tough group - on paper.

Tottenham are through and will win the group with a win in Germany tonight - or if they at least match Real’s result in Cyprus (due to their superior head-to-head record).

    What an achievement.

    Besiktas win group

Beskitas were already through and have clinched top spot after a 1-1 draw in the early kick-off against Porto.

Porto are well placed in second place but will now hope that Red Bull don't beat Monaco.

As for Monaco? Well they must win to have any chance of finishing in the top two. If Monaco lose tonight they will finish bottom of the group.

Tottenham fans have been enjoying some early Christmas cheer in Dortmund where the giant tree also reminds you that their beloved team are the current holders of the German Cup.

Alas all has not gone so well for Borussia Dortmund over the last six weeks as they have only managed to win one of their last eight games - and that was against third division opposition in the cup.

They are yet to win a game in this Champions League group but tonight would be the ideal time to do it as their coach Peter Bosz celebrates his 54th birthday today.

  8. Rose returns for Spurspublished at 18:47 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2017

Borussia Dortmund v Tottenham (19:45 GMT)

    Tottenham Hotspur

Danny Rose returns to the Tottenham starting XI as manager Mauricio Pochettino makes four changes to the side that lost to Arsenal at the weekend.

Rose replaces Ben Davies at left-back while Son Heung-min, Serge Aurier and Harry Winks also come in. Dele Alli keeps his place in the side despite a low key performance against the Gunners.

Tottenham XI: Lloris, Aurier, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Rose, Dier, Winks, Eriksen, Alli, Son, Kane.

Roman Burki retains his place in goal despite his error leading to Stuttgart's opener in Borussia Dortmund's 2-1 defeat in the Bundesliga at the weekend.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leads the line for the hosts. The striker has 15 goals this season but has not scored since the middle of October and he will be hoping to get back among the goals tonight.

Borussia Dortmund XI: Burki, Schmelzer, Bartra, Toljan, Weigl, Götze, Kagawa, Guerreiro, Yarmolenko, Aubameyang, Zagadou

  9. Foden 'world's best'published at 18:46 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2017

    Sam Wallace

Phil Foden is arguably the best 17-year-old footballer in the world. I like the fact that Manchester City are saying he won't go out on loan.

Weather-wise, it is a miserable night in Manchester – but it could be a very special evening for Manchester City prodigy Phil Foden, who is among the substitutes at the Etihad Stadium tonight.

It is almost a year since Foden made his first appearance on the bench for City’s first-team, as a then 16-year-old against Celtic in the Champions League, but the Under-17 World Cup winner, named the star of October’s tournament in India, is still waiting for his senior bow.

Could that come tonight, again in Europe? Pep Guardiola said earlier this week that the Stockport-born playmaker could get his chance against the Dutch side after being an unused substitute in three Premier League games this season.

Another academy product, Brahim Diaz, an 18-year-old Spanish midfielder, is also on the bench and will be hoping to get the shout. He has some first-team experience - but only 10 minutes of it, against Swansea in the League Cup last season.

  11. Seven changes for Citypublished at 18:42 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2017

Manchester City v Feyenoord (19:45 GMT)

    Manchester City

Manchester City make seven changes from the team which won at Leicester and still pack the pitch with talent.

In come Danilo, Nicolas Otamendi, Eliaquim Mangala, Ilkay Gundogan, Yaya Toure, Bernardo Silva and Sergio Aguero...

Phil Foden is on the bench.

City: Ederson; Walker, Otamendi, Mangala, Danilo; Gundogan, Toure, De Bruyne; B. Silva, Aguero, Sterling

Not a bad back-up side that.

  12. Up for itpublished at 18:41 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2017

    Sevilla v Liverpool (19:45 GMT)

    Pat Nevin
Ex-Chelsea winger at Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium for 5 live

Jurgen Klopp thinks one way - 'let's score more goals than the opposition' and I think he will do that tonight.

A lot of Sevilla fans are saying that this is one of the most important games in the club's history. Boy are they up for it tonight.

  13. Karius back in for Redspublished at 18:39 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2017

Two changes for Liverpool from the side that beat Southampton 3-0 on Saturday.

Liverpool XI: Karius, Gomez, Klavan, Lovren, Moreno, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Coutinho, Mane, Salah, Firmino.

Stoke City and Blackburn fans will remember Steven Nzonzi. The midfielder starts for Sevilla, who make four changes from the side that started the 2-1 win over Celta Vigo on Saturday.

Among those coming back into the team is French striker Wissam Ben Yedder, who has four goals in the group stage this season.

Sevilla XI: Rico, Mercado, Geis, Lenglet, Escudero, Pizzaro, Nzonzi, Banega, Sarabia, Nolito, Ben Yedder.
