Everton 2-2 Apollon Limassol
Everton are the first English side to pick up just one point after their first two Europa League group stage games.
Gylfi Sigurdsson recorded his first assist for Everton and his first assist from open play in all competitions since March.
No confidence, afraid to play. Not the rosiest of post-match summaries from a beaten manager.
Everton 2-2 Apollon Limassol
Everton
Everton boss Ronald Koeman on BT Sport: "It's really disappointing. We started poor without any confidence, doing a lot of mistakes. But we had a good reaction. We got a big present to score at 1-1 but the second half was much better.
"We had big chances to score the third one and even after 2-2 we had an unbelievable chance. Sometimes when you are struggling you are too afraid to play football. that's difficult. If it's several players, football is very difficult.
"The challenge is to get the team full of confidence. You need to start better, if you start with many mistakes like today it's hard, look at the first goal it's shocking. Winning games is good medicine but now it will be the same at the weekend.
"The feeling is like a defeat, not even a draw."
Everton 2-2 Apollon Limassol
Everton
Everton forward Wayne Rooney on BT Sport: "We conceded a late goal, we deserved to win the game. The goals were sloppy. It's a point but it should be three.
"They are a good team, there are no easy games in Europe or in the Premier League. We just need that goal to see a game off.
"We didn't play well until we scored, it's been a very difficult start to the season in terms of fixtures but we will keep progressing."
Everton 2-2 Apollon Limassol
Ronald Koeman didn't acknowledge the fans or any of his players at full-time, just straight down the tunnel. He must be pulling his hair out at times. What's going wrong?
His changes, Nikola Vlasic and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, certainly made a big impact.
Teenager Patrick Cutrone has become an AC Milan hero by snatching a last-gasp winner against Rijeka after breaking the offside trap to hook home. It's 3-2 at the San Siro.
Elsewhere, last-minute goals for Sporting Braga to make it 2-1 against Istanbul Basaksehir and AEK Athens to level 2-2 against Austria Vienna.
Everton 2-2 Apollon Limassol
As it stands Atalanta will top the group on four points, with Everton bottom on just one. Still all to play for but not an ideal start at all - with Lyon home and away to come.
Everton 2-2 Apollon Limassol
Everton are booed off. Ronald Koeman heads straight down the tunnel.
AC Milan have been stunned by Rijeka, who have scored twice in the last six minutes to level at 2-2.
Ludogorets Razgrad have come from behind to lead Hoffenheim 2-1.
Everton 2-2 Apollon Limassol
Bags and bags of late drama at Goodison. Ronald Koeman is furious. I have to say it was a stupid foul from Davy Klaassen which gave Apollon the free-kick they equalised from...
Everton 2-2 Apollon Limassol
And now Everton should win it! Dominic Calvert-Lewin has a free header, six yards out, loads of power as he heads down but it's too close to Bruno Vale and he pushes it out.
THREE minutes added on...
Hector Yuste
How's that for a response to going down to 10?!
Limassol level it up straight away as Adnan Sardinero's wonderful free-kick from deep on the left is nodded in by Hector Yuste, the man whose error gifted Wayne Rooney the goal in the first half.
Everton 2-1 Apollon Limassol
Scuffle! It's all kicked off after a challenge in midfield, and that's a straight red for former Sunderland defender Valentin Roberge.
He stamps on the back of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, although he was trying to challenge for the ball initially, I think.
Everton 2-1 Apollon Limassol
That's a cracking move, Everton are getting better as this game goes on. Wayne Rooney and Gylfi Sigurdsson open up space, with Sigurdsson spinning a lovely disguised pass into the run of Jonjoe Kenny from right-back. He has to drill it first time and does, but it's well charged down by a white shirt.
Rooney then shoots from the halfway line - wide.
Everton 2-1 Apollon Limassol
Limassol look shot now. There is so much space for the Everton midfield and they are dictating the play. Gylfi Sigurdsson almost sends Nikola Vlasic in on goal again but this time a defender gets across well.
Everton 2-1 Apollon Limassol
Pass of the day! Wayne Rooney hits a wonderful early ball over the top and into the path of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has also made a difference. He controls on his thigh, backs up the Limassol defence and then plants a curler just wide.
Much better.
Everton 2-1 Apollon Limassol
Nikola Vlasic has made a big difference to Everton, spinning away now from a challenge on the edge of the area and flashing in a low shot which is saved by Bruno Vale. Will we see him from the start against Burnley on Sunday?
Everton 2-1 Apollon Limassol
Davy Klaassen and Gylfi Sigurdsson hunt the ball back well in midfield and almost spark a good Everton attack but it eventually comes to nothing. At the other end Allan has a powerful shot deflected clear. This game is still very much in the balance.
Everton 2-1 Apollon Limassol
Ronald Koeman was about to make changes just before they scored, and he goes ahead with the switch.
On come Davy Klaassen and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, off go Sandro and Tom Davies.
